About this Cook
I'm a 19 year old chick on the coast of California. I've lived here all my life, and being in one of the most toured areas, there are many fine restauants of all types everywhere you go. Many of the locals have their own recepies and traditions that I have grown up learning.
My favorite things to cook
I am perfect at making the simple things; grilled cheese, quesadillas, various salads. But lately I've been exploring a bit more, and my favorite recent accomplishment is cheese raviolis from scratch!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Nobody does thanksgiving dinner like mom! With a tender butterball turkey, nutty stuffing, fluffy mashed red potatoes, green bean casserole, baked and spiced yams, a honey ham and much more. Despite all the homemade goodness, we always preferred cranberries in a can ;)
My cooking triumphs
Latest accomplishment: Ravioli! I never knew it was this easy. It's not that easy really, but a lot more than it sounds.

Grilled Rock Lobster Tails
I followed it pretty close, didn't have white pepper so used black, and didn't measure too close but did approximate portions for the marinade. First time ever making lobster and holy cow it was amazing! So tender and moist as long as you keep basting it. Don't even need butter! :)

Homemade Four Cheese Ravioli
I used this recepie minus the sauce; I used a basic red sauce and it was amazing! I had never made pasta before, but I looked up tecniques and it turned out wonderful. The dough was too dry and did require more water but came out very nice, and made delicious raviolis!
