Noodles Alfredo

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2004
This is THE PERFECT recipe for Alfredo sauce. I used Fettucini and cooked the recipe exactly as stated except I did not add parsley. The response from my family was overwhelming. This is a WONDERFUL recipe and I wll be making this often!!! Thanks Linda!

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2004
This dish was terrific---followed the recipe to a "t"--the cream of mushroom soup makes it so creamy--you can't even taste it once the enchiladas are made--don't let that ingredient scare you off---great taste---would highly recommend!!!

Cranberry Apple Gelatin Mold

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2003
This fruit salad is terrific! The changes I made were to use only one apple (it was more than plenty) and to use a combination of raspberry and cranberry jello (one packet of each). This seemed to cut out the excessive sweetness other reviewers mentioned. I also substituted almonds for walnuts. It was just perfect!

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2003
This dish was outstanding! I made it the night before and added the topping right before I popped it in the oven. I would highly recommend this sweet potato dish to anyone who would like a more elegant side dish.

Tiramisu Toffee Dessert

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2003
This recipe was terrific! I substituted Bailey's Irish Cream for the chocolate syrup and it came out perfect! Make sure to whip the cream until soft peaks form so that it is not too runny! (it may seem to take forever, but it's worth it!!!). I also bought the already chopped Heath bits which saved on the prep time. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a quick, easy, and flavorful dessert! Thanks Jackie!!!!

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2001
This is a very good recipe. My husband thought it was fantastic. Made it for Christmas dinner and it is so easy. The only thing is the cooking time of 45 mins was way too short for my oven (I have a one year old GE). Ended up cooking for over an hour and it came out perfectly moist and tender. The flavor was subtle but tasty. I would definitely make it again. p.s. It will make your house smell wonderful!!!

Bleu Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2001
This recipe did not turn out the way I expected. I halved the blue cheese and it was still very strong (and I like blue cheese). Sauce was not creamy at all--more of a thick, chewy texture. My husband came to the rescue and added Louisiana hotsauce and it ended up tasting like a "buffalo wing" macaroni and cheese, which was a big improvement. My neighbor absolutely adored it and took all of the leftovers home. If you are a blue cheese fiend, you may like this, otherwise the taste will be too strong.

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2001
This recipe is fabulous. My husband took one bite and said "oh my god". I have never gotten that kind of reaction to my cooking before. I used cinammon raisin bread, 3 eggs, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. I also made a sauce for it but no one used it--it was perfect as is. Thanks Ellen!!!

Vanilla Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2001
I did not care for this sauce--I was expecting soemthing thicker and creamier. If you are looking for a very sweet watery sauce, this is the one. If not, keep looking.

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2001
These mashed potatoes are wonderful. Extremely creamy and will melt in your mouth. Husband still prefers "fresh" mashed potatoes but this recipe is a real winner!!! I would highly recommmend!
