About this Cook
mother of 4 and now grandmother of 4 who loves to cook. Currently running a home based business cake decorating.I love to experiment with new recipes and spend lots of time tweaking the old ones.
My favorite things to cook
oh wear to start...I love to bake cakes, cookies brownies cupcakes brownies and all baking in general. I like to mix it up in the kitchen and flirt with flavors from around the globe. We are huge vegetable people and I am constantly searching for fresh ideas for side dishes of the vegetable forms
My favorite family cooking traditions
hungarian cooking and generally european cooking is how I started..not exactly the healthiest menus so they are constantly being tweaked to make them healthier
My cooking triumphs
3 layer decadent homemade cake with buttercream and marshmallow fondant all from recipes here created a perfect masterpiece both in taste and in design
My cooking tragedies
oh I can not for the life of me cook a decent mac and cheese

My daughter complained she hates marshmallow fondant til I found this recipe. It was great and easy. My first fondant cake was a snap thanks to this recipe..why buy it when it is this easy :-)

White Almond Wedding Cake
BRAVO!! I took another readers advice and added half a box of instant vanilla pudding, the cake was moist, dense and not too sweet. I covered this cake with marshmallow fondant and it was perfect held up beautiful. I wish I could tell how long it stayed moist for but my family ate every bit of it in one hour...perfect recipe

Buttercream Icing
YUM! Great recipe..the only thing I changed was to make it with all butter not shortening. I use it for crumb coating. Nice thank you! (also worked great with margarine)
