Simple Stromboli

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2014
I used this as the base for what I had on hand: hot sausage, meatballs and of course, mozzarella! Turned out fabulous! Thanks for this keeper!!

World's Fastest Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2013
This recipe is just what I've been looking for! Quick and delicious!! My Mom makes the worlds best meatballs and no matter how many times I've tried, I can't duplicate them! This actually comes close! I'm not sure of this makes the difference, but I've not made a "slurry" and then mixed in the seasoned meat in the past. I do now!!

Jiffy Cinnamon Rolls

not worth the effort - if you're jonesing for cinnamon rolls this badly - make a trip to the store. Too heavy like a quick bread. The family didn't even want a second one!

Blackened Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2012
This was simply fantastic! That said, I had extra "spice rub" so I threw that into the dipping sauce. YUM! I'm not sure if I'd have liked the sauce without the spices, but I can't rate the part I didn't do! Don't really even need the sauce so I may just halve the recipe and use it for basting only. Thanks for the recipe!

Marinated Flank Steak

I used this with a top round, Angus London Broil. Was so good I went back for seconds and then thirds! I would not change a thing!

Pleasant Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
I don't really care for pork chops but my husband does. So I buy them. I keep looking for ways to make them (aside from breaded and fried) that I can tolerate. I made these last night and I was pleasantly surprised. I found them to be very tasty - even my daughter (she doesn't like pork chops either) said they were good. Try to be patient enough to actually let the juices reduce by half before you put the onions back in for the sauce. I didn't wait and the sauce turned out too thin - but still wonderfully tasty. The sauce thickened upon cooling and I am using it today as a sandwhich spread instead of mayonnaise because the pork chops were gone and the sauce was too delicious to throw away! This recipe is a keeper, thanks!

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2011
I was making tacos for dinner and didn't realize I didn't have an envelope of seasoning. Turned to trusted Allrecipes.com, found this and voila (oops that's French not Spanish) my tacos tasted even better than normal. Thanks for the great mixture!!!

Quick Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2011
WOW!! I didn't expect this to be this good! The flavor is mildly garlicky (is that a word?)with a smooth cheesiness (another made up word!). It thickens enough that you can let it sit a while and add some more liquid before serving. Like I said, unexpectedly good!!!

Antipasto Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2011
I followed the recipe exactly and did not mix until I arrived at the party - and the dish was to be served a few hours later - it didn't absorb enough flavor. Next time I will mix it sooner and not worry about soggy pasta.

Grilled Greek-Style Zucchini

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2011
this was OK - but I admittedly did not add the olives - would that have changed my rating? maybe. That said, I would add more spices as it was too bland for me.

Curried Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
This was really, really good. I was delayed on a flight home and didn't have time to marinate, so I took another reviewer's hint and cooked the thin cut breasts in a non-stick skillet after mixing all the sauce ingredients. I turned and basted the chicken frequently. Served with rice on the side (used this sauce on the rice, too).

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
I didn't care for this at all... not the texture, not the flavor - nothing. To be fair, I consider meatloaf a comfort food. I adore the meatloaf from Cracker Barrel restaurants, so I have a certain expectation. Also, I made this by reducing the servings to 4, so that may also have had something to do with it. While I don't have any desire to try this again, if I was forced to, I'd increase the crushed crackers.

Banana Nut Bread II

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
This is delicious, it's just the recipe has SO MUCH butter. I cut the amount in half and added a tsp of gluten. I used 3 small bananas plus changed the crust control to dark so that it cooked a little more.

Pollo Fajitas

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
This is the first time EVER we've run out of fajita fillings...and this recipe uses 1½ pounds of chicken instead of the standard 1 pound! These were really great!!! Even my hubby commented...these are really good tonight. Thaat's when I told him that they weren't the packaged type, but homemade!
