Comforting Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2013
Really good and it works. I cheated and used egg noodles because that is what I was used to. I also added chicken broth instead of bouillon. I don't drink milk, so I added almond milk instead but it was delicious and it cured my cold. I also threw in a jalapeno because I like spicy and i was really trying to heal myself.. Back story- I got a cold from a coworker, but since I run an office, I don't have the "luxury" of taking a sick day. So I went on here to find a recipe that was easy and had healing properties (like ginger) and I made this soup while being really sick. Sneezing between cutting the celery.NEXT DAY I was feeling better, less rundown. It was amazing and I decided to make it again today because I feel the sniffles coming and it is freezing out.

Terrific Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2012
I would've given this 5 stars but I altered it to make it better. I added beans like other reviewers have recommended and next time I will add corn as well. I also didn't taste a kick (I like spice) so I added more flakes and a teaspoon of extra spicy cayenne pepper. That did the job. This dish was SUPER easy to make and was quick if you were able to multitask. Really great chili.

MMMMM... Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
I would give this 5 stars but it ended up too salty. Way too salty. But I'm giving it a 4 because I ate it anyway despite the saltiness and it really is delicious. I'm making them again today, but I am going to cut the salt in half, so hopefully it helps. The brownies looked like they were made in a bakery, better than a box. I will never buy boxed brownies again.

Ragu Bolognese

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
I would've given it a 5 because it was great. But only after my changes. How can there not be any seasonings added. Is this a given? I'm glad I tasted it before I let it simmer for 2.5 hrs. Taste it before you simmer it. I added 4 cloves of garlic (next time I will add it with the onion). I also added salt and pepper to taste. Each time I stirred it it started tasting a little better, so I kept adding seasonings. I also added 2 bay leaves when I added the milk. I'm not a big pork person, so I bought whole pieces instead of ground. I cut it up into little pieces. (obviously next time I will buy ground!). I also cut the butter and oil in half, as other people suggested. The meat has it's own oil. But it turned out really tasty. Even better after I let it simmer. Take my advice and taste it, that way you can add the seasonings before you let it simmer. If you add it after, it won't be as good.

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
I brought this recipe to Thanksgiving and my sister actually asked me for the recipe. No one EVER asks me for recipes. The dish was delicious and I don't even like pecans. Next time I make this, I will double the recipe because it goes fast. The only change I made was I added 1/2 c of marshmallows in the last 10 mins of baking. It came out awesome!
