Waffles I
Delicious! Lightly crisp on outside and airy on inside with delicate flavor. So easy to throw together with basic ingredients that are in everyone's pantry/fridge. We doubled the vanilla in the batter. Served ours with softened salted butter that melted and pooled into the crevices, real maple syrup and whipped cream sprinkled with cinnamon on top.

Balsamic Cream Sauce
Used ingredients on hand: Substituted 1 diced leek for onion, part of 1 packet vegetable flavored Swanson's "Flavor Boost" for bullion cubes, added chopped prosciutto after leeks had sautéed to golden brown, then proceeded with a sweet balsamic vinegar per rest of recipe. Served over hearty Penne Rigate pasta and garnished with capers. Easy, delicious, fairly quick, forgiving and interchangeable ingredients. Family raved over it.

Maple Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon
Trimmed off bottoms and cut sprouts in half lengthwise. Tossed all ingredients together in bowl (loosely measured ingredients) to coat, then spread out in stoneware baking dish. Baked till sprouts were browned all over and tender, and bacon crisp. Teenage kids loved it. Not a drop leftover.
