About this Cook
I work with Arbonne International teaching people about pure, safe & beneficial skin care products. I've been married to the same man for 25 years & have 2 kids. I'm a relaxed cook & enjoy making big traditional meals and home baked goodies. Lately I've been interested in Vegetarian meals so find that a fun challenge.
My favorite things to cook
Turkey or Roast beef dinners with the works, Lasagna, Quiche, Pancakes,Eggs Benny, Breads, Muffins, Jams, Applesauce
My favorite family cooking traditions
Low fat, low salt for most things. But some things just taste better with real butter like cookies or sauces. Or full fat cheese on baked natchos.
My cooking triumphs
Ribs!! Finally learned the secret to wonderful fall off the bone tender BBQ Ribs
My cooking tragedies
I made a cake once from the internet for a friends birthday. I should have made my tried & true for this occasion,or listened to my inner self because it turned out horrible. I was so embarrased. All the icing slowly started sliding off the cake as it sat in the middle of the table in the restaurant we were at.

Pumpkin Muffins II
Excellent!!! Made 7 jumbo muffins. Added nuts to some, chocolate chips to others. Used pumpkin pie spice instead of individual spices. Baked approx 25 minutes.

Pear Scones
This are excellent. Nice, soft, thick dough. I added 1/2 tsp ginger to the batter and 1 pear=1 cup so for those who said batter was too thin and they spread like puddles, pay attention to the recipe. 4 pears??

Banana Nut Oatmeal
This is Rebeccas recipe but she puts cinnamon in before cooking. Also she wouldn't put as much honey in as this recipe. Maybe half this amount. After cooking she adds sliced banana, handful of craisins & more milk if needed.
