About this Cook
I am a very busy working mother of two beautiful children, happily married, and I am totally convinced that my contributions as the family cook are very much appreciated and help to keep my family close, happy, loving, and healthy.
My favorite things to cook
I love love love pasta dishes, but the carbs are really adding up as I near my 30s. I love to try new things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up on boxed macaroni and chicken nuggets. Teaching others to cook, and having those family dinners in my own home are my new favorite traditions. I love to have friends over for a big family style meal.
My cooking triumphs
Learning to cook completely on my own and attaining the skill level I am now at has been a major triumph for me. I am 100% self taught.
My cooking tragedies
I once tried to make biscuits stuffed with eggs and cheese. It was the ugliest and most disgusting food item I have ever seen!

Korean BBQ Chicken Marinade
This was a big hit. I made exactly as specified. I doubled the recipe and then after marinating I used the juices to make a gravy/ sauce by adding 2 tbsp of cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp of water and bring to a boil until thickened.

Alice Chicken
This was really simple and delicious. I had to use about 2 oz of soy sauce instead of Worcestershire. The grocery store was out! Other than that I followed the other ingredients exactly. Very flavorful and moist. We will be making this again.
