Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2001
Absolutely Fabulous! I had thought that I had over-cooked it, because the edge came out a little hard, but by the next day, the entire loaf was super moist! I have already made 6 loaves, and will definately make more! The only thing I had to do differently, was add about 10 minutes to the cooking time, but that was probably my oven's fault!

Tuna Noodle Casserole from Scratch

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2005
This is really great and SUPER easy. I only changed one thing, and that was substituting 2 cans of chicken in place of the tuna..(for some reason people here think they don't like hot tuna!;)) I think I'd also make a bit more of the gravy mixture next time because I'd have liked it a little creamier, but considering I didn't really put exactly 8oz of noodles in, (dumped more on accident)it is probably the reason it wasn't as creamy. Anyway, excellent recipe. Thanks for submitting it!

Shrimp Creole IV

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2010
This was REALLY good!! I had to adjust according to ingredients I had on hand, like using chicken stock instead of shrimp because I had bought the peeled and deveined shrimp, a few T's of EVOO instead of the bacon grease, and I had to omit the basil and green onions because I didn't have them either, lol. Oh, and I also cut the black pepper down to 1t. I can't imagine this recipe being any better than it was when I was done! The best shrimp creole recipe I've ever made!

Mom's 'Sweet 'n' Sours' Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2005
This was AWESOME. I didn't have any dry mustard so I used a little less than 1/2 teaspoon of ginger in it's place. The whole family LOVED it.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2013
I needed something quick to throw on a carrot cake I had taken out of the freezer for dessert, so I whipped this up. It's delish!! I probably used 2.5 cups of powdered sugar because I wasn't going to put that little bit that was left in the bag back in the cabinet. It was soft and very spreadable, without being runny, like another poster said. Next time, I will substitute some DaVinci caramel syrup for the vanilla. I know it will be awesome!!

White Chocolate Cheesecake with White Chocolate Brandy Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2014
This is my go-to recipe for cheesecake! If I don't want the white chocolate, I just omit it. Same with the sauce. I also use Golden Oreos for the crust. Just zip them thru the food processor and press into the pan. No need for butter or anything because the fat in the centers bind it together if you just press it in. Amazing recipe, thanks for sharing!

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2008
OMG, this was orgasmic! Didn't change a thing-except for using half the 'shrooms it called for, as per the other review. It was my first time ever making it, so I wasn't exactly sure how it was supposed to be as a finished dish, but it was really, REALLY good! My husband ate half the pan himself! I'd been curious about it after being a fan of Hell's Kitchen and seeing them make it alot, so I hunted up a recipe and settled on this one. So glad I did. I will definitely keep it and make it again.

Chocolate Ganache

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2010
This is soooo good it almost didn't even make it to the cake. I was tempted to just hide in the closet with it and a spoon, lol. I've followed the recipe exact and aslo subbed chips for the chopped chocolate, and both ways are just amazing. GOOD STUFF!!

French Cream Filling

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2006
I took the advice of the person who suggested replacing the milk with more cream, and this was AWESOME. It was so perfect. I folded in some raspberries that I tossed in sugar, and used this as a filling for a layer cake. I will definitely use this recipe again. Thanks!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2013
After I added an overflowing teaspoon of vanilla, 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg and a heaping 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon, and a few tablespoons of chopped walnuts, these were great! I also added an extra banana because really...who wants to bake only 10 muffins? The crumble didn't really come out as such, it melted some into the muffin but that was not a problem for us!
