Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup
I prepared this with the recipe for Bill Echols Taco seasoning (as RaisinKane suggested) and it came out tasting a lot like chili. Not bad for chili, but not really what I was expecting. I also substituted chicken broth for the beer. I probably won't make this again.

Zucchini Puffs
Delicious. I prepared these using a regular biscuit/pancake baking mix (not buttermilk). I added about a teaspoon of salt, a teaspoon of pepper and a teaspoon of a no-salt all-purpose herb blend. Still, they were a bit bland. Perhaps the next time I prepare them I will add hot pepper sauce to the batter. Still, these were really good.

Creamy Butternut Squash With Cinnamon Soup
I baked the squash in the oven and then used 3 cups of cooked, mashed squash. I thought the consistency was quite nice using all other liquids in the proportions listed. I used evaporated milk instead of half-and-half. I followed the cooking times listed in the directions and not the color cues because I used the pre-cooked mashed squash. I gave it 4 stars because I think it turned out much as I would expect from the description. No surprises are the halmark of a quality recipe. I don't think I will make this again however because it is a very sweet soup and I prefer something more savory. I doubled the cayenne and still found that it did not have much kick.
