About this Cook
I grew up watching my mother cook for our family of 6 daily. Watching her make lasagna or the preparations for Thanksgiving dinner were the things that inspired my cooking style. I saw that she would slave over the stove forever but her food always was great. Now as a young adult (with just a husband and no kids) I find delight in finding quicker ways to make the food that my mother made without sacrificing the taste. I also absolutely LOVE Asian cuisine. Growing up in Fort Knox definitely exposed me to a lot of foods early on and now I just can't get enough!
My favorite things to cook
Asian inspired dishes + southern comfort food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving dressing! (some would call it stuffing) my mothers recipe isn't written and I've been looking for a way to standardize this recipe so everyone can enjoy it. Thanksgiving would not be Thanksgiving unless this delicious dish is made.
My cooking triumphs
Making a cheesy chicken enchilada soup with several ingredients that I had never used and it came out absolutely wonderful. My 1st attempt at chicken marsala was somewhat triumphant!
My cooking tragedies
LoL we're gonna keep this a secret!

Italian Breaded Pork Chops
I found this recipe to be slightly bland. I used quality bread crumbs and cheese so I thought that there would be plenty of sodium and I even added some salt and pepper to the raw pork chops before the egg wash and there was still a lot of flavor missing. Needs garlic/onion salt or a kick of something.

Red Wine Reduction Steak Sauce
I used carrots, onions, and minced garlic along with some balsamic vinegarette because that's what I had. Turned out Delicious. Great base recipe.
