Best Ever Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2014
These are the best jalapeno poppers I've ever had by far. Be warned, the prep time for this is much longer than the 45 mins listed - by the time you cut and de-seed all the peppers it had already taken more than 30 mins. I swapped out cheddar cheese for monterray jack (you won't regret it). I used the exact amounts specified and I had PLENTY of cheese filling left over (even after stuffing the peppers as full as I could). Before making these I read the reviews and many said they weren't spicy so I added the seeds from my biggest pepper into the cheese mix - The spiciness was perfect! Just be careful how many seeds you use as they can easily be over compensated. Some of the breading was falling off by the time they finished cooking but I don't think my oil was hot enough.

Baked Oatmeal II

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2014
Made this recipe for the first time following most of Debby S.'s recommended changes with a little bit of my own: 3 cups of oats with flax seed, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 3 tsp. cinnamon, 1/3 cup melted butter, 1/4 cup apple sauce, 1/2 cup chopped pecans, Only baked for 30 mins at 350 and it turned out perfect. Goes great with a little bit of milk (don't drown it like cereal) and topped with a drizzle of warm REAL maple syrup (here in Canada you better be using the real stuff!).

World's Best Pasta Sauce!

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2013
Followed the original recipe with red wine substituted for water, more ground beef instead of the sausage, 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes, and 1/2 tsp oregano. Definitely wasn't flavorful enough for my liking; could have used half as much wine and more spices. I'll be sure to try it again with some changes and see if I can get the same results as others here.

Grill Master Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2013
Amazing! Followed recipe exactly as written except I doubled the sauce recipe as it definitely wasn't enough for 3 lbs of wings (I like saucy wings). These were the best wings I've had in a long time - beats many of the restaurant chain wings out there (and these aren't deep fried!).

Pumpkin Pancakes

Halved this recipe, but needed to add more milk so it wasn't as thick. Still turned out amazing!

Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2013
Amazing rib sauce! I boiled the ribs for a little over an hour, basted them with marinade then grilled them for about 10 minutes rather than the suggested 30 minutes as they started to char. I used half the amount of rum due to some reviews suggesting it was a little strong which turned out great. Will definitely be making them again!
