I just wanted to let you know that exploding the can is VERY easy. PLEASE don't take this as an "in your face" type of note. We LOVE this recipe often but did have the can explode. The can was sitting in about 2 inches of water. My daughter opened the lid and BOOM!!!! all over her shirt arms. Thank God it wasn't on her face and her shirt was long sleeved. I realized that the water was too low ( always have the can completly cover in water ) then NEVER open the lid when the water is still hot. I hope this NEVER happens to you and PLEASE tell all people who you share the recipe with.

Best Marinara Sauce Yet
This sauce tastes canned. It is sweet and has a tang to it I didn't prefer. Sorry

I make this in a cheescake pan. It is beautiful when finished and taken out of the pan. The trick is to allow the milk to boil long enough for a thick enough caramel to hold together. I will make this time and time again. It is ALWAYS a show stopper!!!
