Decided to go with this recipe for my Mom's b-day cake based on all the positive reviews, and it was a complete hit! I was concerned it was going to be too chocolatey or 'cheap' given it wasn't from scratch but thought so many positive reviews couldn't be wrong.... I used 3/4 cup of oil, low fat sour cream and cut up 1 1/2 cups of chocolate that my Mom loves instead of using chocolate chips and it was fantastic. Next time I might use 1/2 cup of oil but not a big change I'm sure. Given the name my company were all a little concerned it was going to be too sweet and only took a small slice but everyone said it wasn't and was actually one of if not the best chocolate cakes they've had and asked for seconds. :) I topped it with my friend's Mother's fluffy chocolate butter icing and provided a choice of whipped cream or ice cream. :)
