Gooey Butter Cake III

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
I wish I could give these a higher rating then 5! They are fantastic! I just made 6 dozen of these for a potluck and they were the FIRST to go. I did have to bake them a bit longer then what the recipe called for but that's no big deal. I prefer to keep them in the fridge. I think they taste better cold.

Maryland Crab Cakes I

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
Born and raised in Maryland I KNOW what a good crab cake should taste like and these are IT! I add a bit more worcestershire sauce and the key is to use LUMP crab meat. I prefer mine fried in butter on the skillet (cause what's crab w/o dipped in melted butter? lol) and they taste wonderful!

Moist Turkey Burgers

The BEST turkey burgers on this site! I make them into slider burgers and put them on potato rolls and my kids gobble them up.

JENNIE-O's Best Ever Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
My family has requested that I replace the ground beef meatloaf that I usually make w/ THIS recipe. It's THAT good. Moist, VERY flavorful and also makes great meatloaf sandwiches the next day. Thank you!

Honey-Garlic Glazed Meatballs

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
This is THE BEST of what I consider to be an Asian meatball. They taste exactly like the meatballs you get from an asian buffet. My kids DEVOUR these meatballs. I put them over rice and serve w/ egg rolls or pot stickers and there's nothing left over. They're even better taking them to a potluck in a crockpot.

Pumpkin Gobs

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2008
This should ONLY get a 5 star if you use cream cheese frosting for the middle. The original frosting written for this recipe is not good at all and I can see why this wouldn't get a good rating. The cookie part is EXCELLENT! I've been making this recipe (w/ cream cheese frosting in the middle) for quite some time now and everybody loves them and it's always the first dessert gobbled up when I bring these.

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2002
My family absolutly loved this recipe! The buttermilk makes a really nice flavorful pancake! It makes a lot but you can refrigerate the leftovers and my daughter has a nice, hot breakfast before school during the week! Will definatly make over and over!

Glazed Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2002
This recipe was great! The sauce on top was delicious! However, next time I will add a little steak sauce in the meat loaf to zip it up a little. My whole family enjoyed this! Will add to my recipe file.

Pudding Poke Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2002
This was a good recipe but it did seem a little goopy. My kids loved it. What was good about it was that you didn't have to use a yellow cake. I used a devil's food cake and vanilla pudding.

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2002
My family loves french toast so I thought I would try this. I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out really mushy. I was disappointed because I really wanted this to work. I tried it twice and turned out the same way. It just seems like there is too much liquid in the recipe.

French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2002
I really liked the foundation for this, however; I followed the recipe EXACTLY and the middle of it was still goopy. I kept it in the oven longer and the middle was still mushy. Next time, I will try using less liquid.

Hamburgers and Ketchup Gravy

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2002
This recipe was great! At first I didn't simmer it enough then after about 45 min. I stirred it and couldn't believe how thick and sweet it was. No way did this taste like ketchup after it has simmered! The meatballs were really flavorful too! Make sure you add enough onion chunks because that's what make this gravy so good. My husband added hot sauce on his plate because he likes everything hot. I didn't make it with noodles tho, I just made them as is and had some veggies and made some biscuits and it was wonderful! I will definatly make this again!

Sweet and Sour Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2002
My Kids and I LOVE sweet dishes and my husband LOVES sour dishes so I needed a recipe that would satisfy both. This dish is absolutely scrumptious!! I didn't have a loaf pan so I used a regular baking dish and it turned out beautifully!! The meatloaf was moist and the sauce is what makes the meatloaf!! I will defitnatly add this recipe to our favorites list!
