Chicken Sopa

This was good, just not as good as I had hoped it would be. I might substitute cheese soup for the chicken soup if I made it again. Great idea for a recipe !

Kraut Bierocks

I think my first mistake was using refrigerated breakstick dough. It was harder to work with than I imagined and almost all of my pockets didn't seal. Second, I thought that 3tbs prepared mustard meant refrigerated French's mustard. I used 2tbs Yellow and 1 tbs Brown, but that was all you could taste was just yellow mustard. Third, I sliced my cabbage and it was in long thick pieces - I tried to chop it at that point... Was I supposed to grate it? I think by not understanding the recipe I ruined it.

Confetti Scalloped Potatoes

My family asks for this dish each holiday. Definitely thaw the frozen hash browns in the fridge the night before. I've made a double batch using the 'family size' 26 oz can cream of mushroom soup, soup can full of milk and a 30-32 oz bag of hash brown shreds, doubling the other ingredients and baking in two casseroles. We generally use white or yellow onion instead of green.

Asian Salad

Thank You, Juanita ! I served this at our Labor Day BBQ and everyone RAVED about how GREAT it was. I took some advice from the reviews and used 1/3 cup oil, 1/4 cup rice vinegar and 1/4 cup white sugar. I also added one tablespoon of sesame oil which seemed to give it an extra layer of taste. I will definitely make this again in the future.

Donna's Cornbread, Sausage and Jalapeno Dressing

We served this for Christmas (with ham). It has a very good flavor and is not spicy hot. I took advice from previous reviews and used 2½ boxes (6 oz ea)of cornbread stuffing mix, 32 oz carton of broth and omitted the dry bread crumbs. I also used plain sausage because we don't like the seasonings in the spicy italian variety. My increase of stuffing mix resulted in this variation being a bit salty for our sodium sensitive guest, but all in all a good side dish.

Feta Cheese Foldovers

Winter 2004: People loved these at our housewarming! I used feta with mediterranian herbs as suggested by other members. I also doubled the recipe by using two-six ounce packages of crumbled feta and two-seventeen ounce packages of puff pastry. (I still used only 3 tbs of green onions and one egg.) Thanks Christine ! Update Winter 2008: Couldn't find mediterranian herb feta so used garlic herb and they tasted great. Only used one tub of crumbled feta with two packages puff pastry.

Zucchini and Eggs

This tasted very good. I made it for one person so only used two eggs and one small zucchini. I used 1/3 of a cube of frozen garlic because I didn't have powder. Many thanks LinH for the recipe!

This is a great recipe! I took advice from previous reviews and substituted frozen sweet corn, green onions, 2 cloves minced garlic and added 1/2 tsp each of chili powder and cumin.

Simmered Sirloin with Noodles

This is a great weeknight dinner for my husband and I. We reduced the amount of onion to one cup, substituted fresh mushrooms and used just one 10¾ oz can of consomme since we were only making half of a 12 oz bag of egg noodles. Had a little leftover for lunch the next day and it tasted even better.

Alfredo Sauce

Thank you for this wonderful recipe. I had never attempted alfredo, I was afraid of scalding the cream. You showed how easy it is - I'll never buy pre-made alfredo again! I added garlic and green onion with the butter, and broccoli at the end. Thanks again!

Spicy Grilled Shrimp

This is the best shrimp marinade! I've made it many times. The ingredients are perfect as written. We like to let it marinade in the fridge for 2-6 hours before grilling.

Cocktail Meatballs
