Lemon Thyme Rice

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
My husband loved this recipe and generally getting him to eat something that isn't really bad for you is difficult. I added some garlic with the rice right right in the beginning and stirred constantly to keep that from burning. At the very I added about 2 teas to a tablespoon of parmesan cheese. It added a great salty flavor.

I agree with the other reviewers, just a dash of salt and pepper at the very end and it made this dish perfect!

My husband said it was just like apple pie without the pie crust. Great recipe!

New Wife Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
My husband loved this. I had some extra bacon leftover from breakfast and threw it in too. I didn't have any relish so I used chopped up dill pickles and they added a nice little crunch. Great recipe!

Cheddar Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
Great recipe. We pounded the chicken so it was a bit thinner and we cooked at the temp indicated on the recipe and it turned out fine. We used homemade bread crumbs and added a bit of salt and italian seasonings. We will make again!

Broccoli Chicken Divan

We used swiss cheese instead of the cheddar and it was just as good. Very simple easy casserole with few ingredients. Perfect for a weeknight.

Without a doubt the best gingerbread pancake recipe we've tried. I didn't change a thing.

We also didn't have green onion and sauteed some onion instead. I will probably try the dry minced onion from other viewers as the sauteed onion was too powerful.

Restaurant-Style Hashbrown Casserole

I really enjoyed this but I would probably cut the butter to 1/4 cup. I am a huge fan of butter and even I thought it was a bit much.

My husband and I had so much fun putting this together. We created a blue ranch dressing lake nearby and rock croutons.

We toasted the bread and instead of using mayo spread both slices of bread with ranch dressing. Yum!

Slow Cooker Pizza

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
I took the advice of some of the reviewers and baked it in a casserole dish for about an hour. My slow cooker and I don't get along very well. Make sure to stop boiling the pasta about 2-3 minutes before they are done so they don't get mushy while in the oven.

Country Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
This recipe was amazing. We've been playing around with different biscuits and gravy recipes for years but this one just topped them all. As my husband and I are not into spicy things I crushed up about a teaspoon of fennel seeds in place of the red peppers.

Russian Cheese Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
I agree with the other viewer to add garlic powder because the intensity of the minced uncooked garlic was a bit much. Everyone thought it was great and couldn't believe it was made with so few ingredients.
