Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2013
This is my go-to banana bread recipe. It's moist, banna-y, and delicious. The only change I make is to sometimes add chocolate chips.

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
We made this for Christmas morning breakfast, and it turned out excellently. I bought a 4-pack of "regular" size buttermilk biscuit dough, and I used all four tubes. I didn't cut them, I just rolled them in balls and dipped them in cinnamon sugar. I also used 1 T of cinnamon in the C of sugar. I used 3/4C of butter in the sauce, and added a splash of vanilla. It turned out quite well. We will definitely be making it again.

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
I fixed this recipe for the family this evening, and it was a hit. I had a package of 8 chops, so I doubled the sauce. I would have preferred a bit more spice, but my family doesn't, so these were perfect. The addition of 1 t of red pepper flakes would be good. I heeded the warnings of the previous reviews about the chops being too dry, so I used my slow cookers meat thermometer feature to cook them to 160*, then it switched to warm. They turned out tender and perfect. We are going to have the leftovers, shredded, in lettuce wraps later in the week.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2003
This recipe is not as good as my favorite buttermilk pancake recipe, but it is the best recipe I have ever tried using ingredients that I always have on hand. They are light and fluffy, and quite tasty. This recipe would also be a good starting point to add fruit, spices, etc. I will definately be using this one again.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2003
These cookies are fabulous! They are soft, spicy, and much faster to make than tradional roll & cut gingerbread cookies. That's a real plus for impatient people like me. They got rave reviews from my family and coworkers. I will definately be making these again.

Orange Juice Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2003
This chicken is great! My husband and I both loved it. The only thing I will change when I make it again, is to add some additional mustard to the sauce at the end. This will become one of my "regular" recipes.

Fruit Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2003
This is a good, basic fruit pizza recipe. I used brownie mix for the crust.

Fresh Salsa II

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2003
Execllent! This salsa is easy and very fresh-tasting. I added more cilantro, but other than that I made it "as is." I got several requests for the recipe.

Aimee's Quick Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2002
My husband and I enjoyed this recipe, although I found it to be very salty. I will make it again, but I will use low-sodium teriyaki, and I will add a little brown sugar.

Beth's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2001
This is excellent! Chewy, moist, and very choclatey. I used pecans instead of walnuts, and 2.5 C of chips, and they turned out wonderfully. This is my new basic chocolate chip cookie recipe.
