Ground Beef and Rice with Cheese

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2014
This is a winner! I used a bag of boca meat, and I used whole grain rice. The dish I used was approx. 8x7 so I put all the rice down first then the meat mixture. (also added chopped garlic) Then a whole bag of shredded cheddar. The husband loved it. His seconds were in a bowl with a bag of tortilla chips for dipping! Yum! Thanks for the recipe!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2013
Made just a few changes as I was primarily baking this for my 9 month old daughter. I did not want to use any oil. I used almost 3 (4oz) jars of baby applesauce. And I used just 2 cups of sugar, 1 cup white, 1 cup brown. (Probably use even less next time as it was still very sweet) It came out moist and delicious. I also used 1 1/2 tsp of pumpkin pie spice in place of all the other spices.

Tasty Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2013
This was a tasty sauce. I did follow GFELAN's post and eliminated the sauce and doubled the paste. I think next time I will keep the sauce. It was WAY to thick. I had to add quite a bit of water and it was still much thicker than jarred sauce. I also did 1TBSP ital. seasoning, and 1TBSP oregano. I also added a tablespoon or two of sugar, because the tomato flavor was very strong. I will make this again, with adjustments.

Sunday Chicken Dinner

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2013
My husband loved this so much he posted about it on facebook....Very minor changes. I used chicken quarters, cream of chicken soup, and chili powder instead of Cajun. Also sprinkled a pack of onion soup mix over the top.

Balsamic Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2013
This was so good! Had to change it slightly. I didn't have any peppers, and I don't care for onions. I only had dried parsley. Also, only had a reg. cucumber, so I cut most of the seeds out. Really delicious and great for a hot day! Thanks for the recipe!

Banana Loaf

Very good, moist, fluffier than my tried and true banana bread recipe. The only thing I changed was the addition of choc. chips. Yummy!

Husband's Delight

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
Really good. Will make again. The hubby suggested making it without the noodles and eat as a dip. He's a big dip person! I also used a bag spicy shredded cheese on the top. I think it would have been a bit bland for our family had I used regular cheddar.

This was so good! I took the advice of the others and added a 1/2 cup of wine and a few splashes of half and half. It was delish, and I will be making it again. I also added a can of black olives.

Chilled Crab Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2011
I tried this dip, because it sounded a lot like one I used to make that was very good. (spread a pkg. softened cr. cheese on serving plate, cover with cocktail sauce, sprinkle a can of crab meat or sm. shrimp over sauce, serve with crackers) I guess I don't like everything mixed together. Much prefer it layered.

Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2011
These have good flavor. But I was hoping for a bit more shape like a choc. chip cookie. They bake up pretty much exactly like how you plop them on the tray. I baked them for 12 min. They were golden brown and a bit dry for my taste. For the second batch, I flattened them down a bit with the spoon. I also did not bake them quite as long, I did not let them get brown, and they were much much better!

Pumpkin Butter IV

Love this! Can't wait to share it with others as gifts. Followed directions exactly, except as others did, swapped out one cup of the white sugar for one cup of br. sugar. It is sweet and full of pumpkin flavor.
