Complete Pancake Mix

Reviewed: May 2, 2009
I decreased the servings to 5 on this and it was a bit too salty. Not sure if this is a problem when u make the recipe as listed. I a hand full of sugar...I know,I'm very precise, lol. Very good recipe. Doesn't make big fluffy pancakes...which is fine by me. Will def make again!

Easy Pie Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
This just did not taste good to me...even though I added more sugar the vegetable oil taste was overwhelming...like swallowing a tsp of oil w/ a little flour in it. On the plus side it is super easy and looks good. I had high hopes...but they were not fulfilled.

Cinnamon Bread I

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2009
This recipe is great! Just sweet enough. I did as others suggested and tripled the topping....it made alot...I only used half of it. But luckily the kids like it so much that i made another one a few days later and used the rest. I didn't cook a whole hour (had to leave the house) but it turned out just right. I mixed dry and wet ingredients separately then added the dry to the wet. Great easy bread than can be a morning snack (great w/ butter) or sweet enough for dessert (warm it up). Also good b/c these are ingredients that are always on hand.

Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
Added some imitation Vanilla and used 4 eggs...first batch didn't have the lava center but was very moist and very good! Gonna chill the rest of the batter and try it again tonight. So far I would def recommend this recipe. Update: Made this many many times in the last month...my thighs are not happy, lol. So far it's best w/ Ghirardelli choc chips, then Guittard chocolate chips. Would NOT suggest using Tollhouse...may be good for cookies but its and inferior chocolate for this recipe. Also I've cooked it after refrigeration & when it was still warm...both turned out good, just cook it for a much shorter time (7-8 min) if batter is still warm. Add vanilla and don't over cook and I have a winner every time....that is if I can cook it b4 my kids eat all the batter! LOL. My son has named this Chocolate Surprise...it is now their favorite desert (homemade or restaurant) bar none. My 14 year old has even told his friends about it, LOL. His birthday is on Mon and this is what he wans for his cake!! Too FUNNY, LOL!!

Curried Carrot Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2002
I made this recipe and realized that perhaps I am not too fond of carrots. It was ok, but just not my cup of soup - if you will. Although it did taste better the second day, I still could not get my children to eat it.

Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2002
I thought this recipe was ok, but my 7 year olds were not very fond of it. I halved the PB like some other suggested. May make again but probably not very often.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2002
These cookies were good, I wouldn't day the Best ever...but I would definitely make them again. I am, however, very curious about this "Toll House" recipie...I can't seem to find it and would very much like to try it. One thing...I made the second batch w/ chocolate pudding on the advice of a reviewer....BIG MISTAKE...the kids wouldn't even eat them....stick w/ vanilla and you'll be sure to get a good cookie.

Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2002
Very good universal vegetable recipe. I use whatever vegetables I have on hand and it always turned out great. Except when I forget the basalmic vinegar..oops! But even then it was still edible, but I definitely knew I had forgotten something. Great recipie, thanks for posting it!

Creamy Penne Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2002
This recipe was just o.k. I used low-fat cream cheese, maybe that was the culprit. I bought all fresh herbs, but it hardly seemed worth it for this recipe. May try again w/ regular cream cheese, but not for a while.

Bananas Foster I

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2002
This was awesome. The kids really loved seeing their breakfast on fire (I served it over crepes w/ chocolate sauce) and they loved the taste, too. Most of the alcohol burned off, but I still may use a little less next time due to its strong flavor. Thanks for the great fancy-shmancy recipe :)

Blender Chocolate Mousse

I made this again (after my first disaster with it - very gritty) and this time I literally brought the milk to a boil ...it worked much better and the chocolte melted as it was supposed to. It was a pretty good mousse.

Alfredo Mostaccioli

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2002
Ugh! Not sure what I did wrong but this was sooooooo salty. I used dried parsley but I halfed it. I tried to add more cream and milk, but it didn't help. I finally put potatoes in it to absorb some of the salt. I will NOT make this again.

This is a very good recipe! I have made it time and time again. I usually use pecans and I only use about a 1/2 cup of butter...it turns out perfect every time. This is one of my favorites!
