Spiced Applesauce

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
I used less apples but same amt of juice. Peeled and cored then used alligator chopper. The smaller bits turned to sauce while cooking. I left the larger pieces whole. Was good before adding spices, will make some plain next time and also try just cinnamon and nutmeg. This will be topping steal cut oats for breakfast.

Chompchae Deopbap (Korean Spicy Tuna and Rice)

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2011
I grated my (frozen) ginger, not fond of bites of ginger. Added the carrots in with the onion and then garlic just for a minute before adding liquids. Also held back the cucumber, adding it in at the end just to get it hot. Didn't have canned tuna so used Ahi.

YUM! I used pan toasted pecans instead. Chopped them up fairly small and generously sprinkled on non stick foil. Poured toffee over and then more nuts on top. Going to try with bittersweet chocolate next time YUM!

Teriyaki Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
Half the wings, water, soy, sugar (used brown). Used whole amt of pineapple juice and added in a hand full of titbits. Heaping on the garlic, forgot the oil. Ran it thru the blender. Marinated 2.5 hours. Boiled the leftover marinade, dumped half, (salty) added back some water and brown sugar. Reduced then thickened with cornstarch slurry for dipping sauce. Good! Gotta watch these towards the end of bake time or they will burn. Used non stick foil.

Fantastic. Makes enough dressing for at least double the spinach. I used pomegranate pepper jelly and pan toasted my walnuts.

Blender Hollandaise Sauce

Easy and quick. Mine was a tad thin but it was my error in execution since I tried to scale but eyeballed instead of measuring.

Tasty Lentil Tacos

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2011
A taco tip that has never been better than for this recipe...I use whole romaine leaves for the lettuce in tacos. Hold leaf in hand, add fillings, then fold and set into taco shell. Works especially well with flat bottomed hard shells. Even after your shell breaks the lettuce helps hold your filling all together. Also keeps shell from getting soggy. This recipe is worthy of the glowing reviews.

Death By Garlic

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2011
I used half the pasta and evoo and doubled the red pepper. Tossed my cooked pasta in 1/2 cup chicken stock before tossing everything together so eliminated the salt. Added a small chopped onion, thinly sliced carrots, sliced red pepper chicken sausage, diced red peppers, and frozen peas all sauteed in evoo before adding the garlic. Also sauteed some shrimp in a little garlic butter. Used fresh basil instead of parsley. Fantastic!
