Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: May 17, 2012
I made the dressing in a food processor, much easier!! Put the onion in first and chop that. Then add everything else but the oil and seeds and mix it. Then add the oil and mix and then add the seeds and mix. It was a great recipe!! I didn't change a thing, even my husband liked it and said "who would have ever thought to put strawberries in a salad?" :)

Pecan Pumpkin Dessert

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
This is an awesome dessert!! I will make this again. I did add a few things to make it closer to my recipe for pumpkin pie. I added 1 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.

Grilled Cheese Sandwich

I love grilled cheese sandwiches, but try this for something a little different and delicious: use american and swiss cheese, add a slice of tomato, a few pieces of bacon and a slice of raw onion.. yummy!!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2011
This is a great recipe!! I have made it following the directions and I have made it with some changes many times and we love it. I do double the sauce because I add more veggies. I also add at least 1/2 a head of fresh garlic when I saute the onions in butter. I also saute the celery with the onions. Sometimes I add some rosemary with the flour mixture for the sauce. I like to add a cup of corn and extra carrots. I also cook the veggies in chicken broth in a sauce pan. I cook the chicken separately in olive oil with about a head of fresh garlic, some salt and pepper. I dice the chicken up in small pieces before I cook it. I stain the veggies and add them to the chicken and then add the sauce and mix it together. I also make my own crust: 3 cups flour, 1 1/2 tsp salt, 1 cup crisco. I cut this together until crumbly and then add about 11 Tbs cold water and mix together. Don't over mix it because it can get tough. I put everything in a 2 1/2 quart baking dish and it turns out great every time!!
