Best-Ever Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2011
This was ok. It had a very strong onion soup mix flavor that my boyfriend and I weren't a big fan of. I also prefer oatmeal to breadcrumbs in meatloaf as it makes the texture much lighter and fluffier. Will not be making this again.

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2011
This is fantastic. I added white wine to the pan and McCormick Montreal Seasoning to the cracker crumbs. I used thinly cut chicken breasts and baked them for 20 minutes instead of 40. Insanely juicy and flavorful!!!!!!

Three-Cheese Spaghetti Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
Pretty bland as is, but a nice starting point. I added fresh basil and a couple spoonfuls of ricotta to make it creamier.

Chicken Wing Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
This had a great flavor, just like hot wings. VERY spicy though. Maybe next time I'll cut down on the hot sauce. I also think shredding the chicken might work better for a dip. My guests kept complaining how the chicken would roll off their chip. haha.

Grandpa's Popcorn Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
Super easy and delicious; I had a hard time getting the balls to stay together so I'm not sure if it was something I did or if the recipe directions were lacking. It was my first attempt and I'll definitely try them again.

Cream of Chicken with Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
Pretty tasty with a good flavor. I feel like it was missing something. Next time I think I'll add some carrots and maybe some more wild rice.

Sweet Potato Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
Very delicious. Tasted a bit like pumpkin pie with pecans mixed in. Everyone loved this pie. I added allspice and it made it a little too "spiced" for my taste. Next time I'll leave the recipe to its original form.

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
I've always made the same old baked sweet potatoes topped with marshmallows every year. This year I decided to mix it up and make this. People were literally fighting over the leftovers and already insisting this become our new sweet potato staple. They even asked me to make it for Christmas. The flavor on these were outstanding. I mixed marshmallows into the potato mixture and also topped it with the brown sugar pecan mixture and although it was great it made it too dessert like for my taste. The original recipe for this is perfect, no need for changes!

Easy Turkey Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
Hands down the easiest, creamiest, most delicious gravy I ever made. The chicken soup which I was skeptical on really added a nice depth of flavor to the turkey stock. My family fought for the leftovers this Thanksgiving. This was the first year my grandmother didn't make her traditional brown turkey gravy she's made for the past 60 years and not one person missed it!

Savory Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2010
Pretty good starter recipe. I used yellow mustard instead of Dijon because I like them to be a little tangy, added a teaspoon of lemon juice and a dash of salt and pepper. I also found them to be a little too eggy so I added an extra tablespoon or two of mayo. I topped them off with a sprinkle of paprika and everyone gobbled them up! Very tasty.
