Chocolate Chocolate Chip Nut Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2008
Death by chocolate. As someone mentioned before, this is for someone who really likes chocolate and is not looking for a breakfast muffin. But I love chocolate :-) Next time, I will try to replace some coffee for the milk.

Pistachio Nut Bundt Cake

Reviewed: May 15, 2007
My husband loved it. I used pistachios instead of walnuts and skipped the powdered sugar, but otherwise followed the recipe. The amount of sugar/nut/cinnamon mixture was too much. I had about 1/2 of it leftover. This is definitely a cake.

Bread Machine Pumpernickel Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2006
First time making pumpernickel bread and it tastes great. I omitted the cocoa and it was fine. Used blackstrap molasses. I gound up the caraway seeds since my husband can't have seeds. Thanks for a keeper. I had to change the serving size so it would fit my bread machine which makes 1# loaves. 2cups flour=1# loaf. 3cups flour=1 1/2# loaf. 4 cups flour = 2# loaf. Determine size of your bread machine pan: 10cups water=1# loaf pan size. 11-13cups water=1 1/2# loaf pan size. >13 cups of water=2# loaf size.

Cranberry Orange Loaf

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2006
Delicious. Used 3 mini-loaf pans. Use d frozen cranberries and the zest of a whole orange - more than the called for 1 Tablespoon. Baked for 35 minutes. It was better than the ones I get at the store.

Basic Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2003
Very tasty. Skipped the salt since I thought the ham would be salty enough. To make it thicker, mash or puree some of the beans. Yumm.

German Apple Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2001
Had to bake it 15 minutes longer. Too moist but it tasted great and was not too sweet. Had to scrape the bottom of the pan to get the cake out because the cake was too moist and stuck to the bottom.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2001
The pie looked absolutely gorgeous. Added some nutmeg and mixed half of the sauce into the apples before placing the apples into the crust. Didn't bother with the lattice work and just added some slits to the top crust. Gave it as a gift to a friend and they said it did not last long. A keeper!
