World's Best Lasagna
The lasagna came out delicious! I doubled the recipe exactly except I omitted the water. I added 2 cans of italian diced tomatoes to replace it. Although the longer the sauce cooks the better, I didn't have time so I just cooked it until the flavors of the sauce looked infused...about 30-45 minutes. I never knew what fennel seeds were or tasted like...they are a must, giving it a distinct flavor in random bites. DO NOT forget to add the sugar to kill the acidity. No more jarred sauce for me...unless I'm rushing of course. Lol

Cookies 'n Cream Cake
I gave this a 4 because the first time I followed the recipe & found it needed more oreo flavor...crucial. Otherwise if we were going by presentation, it would've gotton a 5. The second time I improved the flavor by increasing the oreos to 2-2.5 cups & when crushing the oreos, I did so leaving large know like with cookies & cream ice cream when you come across those "bonus" bites. It's so much better using chocolate cake.

Since I couldn't find ladyfingers anywhere in the short period of time I had, I made these to use as a layer in a lemon-raspberry cheese cake, so the presentation wasn't important this time...just the taste which was perfect. But I do suggest refrigerating dough if it is a bit runny otherwise they'll come out flat. Due to it being hot, mine started to spread when I piped them on the baking sheet. Use that tip & you should have ladyfingers...feel so much better that I found a easy recipe to make them.
