Chef John's Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2014
We love this soup. It's so easy and you can add more of everything, you dont have to be exact it's all good. I double it because it's so tasty! You wont have lumps in your soup adding the flour this way. Love it! Thanks John.

SO GOOD - AND EASY! This is not a pie, at all. But it is the best CAKE in the world! I DOUBLE the recipe and add more Walnuts. Bake in your regular cake pan. Delish! So pretty for the Holidays!

Broccoli and Cheddar Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2006
This is really good and easy!!A++++++++++ I did like others and added some carrot I ran through the food processor. I had to add a lot more milk to thin it out. But so what? You make it to your liking! I added chicken soup base you buy in a jar, for the broth. It's a teaspoon, to each cup of water. I doubled this recipe and it made a big batch to heat & eat for a few days! It really is tasty, n just add more salt or boullian, and garlic powder, if you like. Thank you Pam!

Chocolate Coated Peanut Butter Crackers

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2005
I just made these and I used Baker's white chocolate baking squares, on the first batch, and Wilton's white candy melts on the second. I also mixed marshmellow cream in with the peanut butter. I think it made them too sweet. Next time I'll do like the recipe says and only use peanut butter for the filling.! I then dipped half in melted chocolate for a half white/half chocolate look for a cookieexchange. I didn't use sprinkles of type, just kept them plain.

Hot Fudge Ice Cream Bar Dessert

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2005
This is so rich and good! You need lots of time for it to firm up but its very FORGIVING! It doesnt matter about the ice cream sandwiches, just shove them in any way they will line up! I had ti break a few up n shove in the corners then just do the same for the next layer and you'll be good to go!!!!

I just made these for a grad party and they are great! I added more onion and omitted the sweet pickle relish so it wouldnt taste like miracle whip instead of mayo! Not too shabby!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

Reviewed: May 11, 2005
MMMMmm!!! This is the best!I shook the beef in a bag with flour, but added tons of garlic salt, pepper, and some rosemary. I didn't use the onion soup mix. I used beef boullion, the dry paste stuff in a jar. I ADDED MARSALA WINE, to the meat after I browned it up, and then stired it around for a few minutes. I added water, worshestishire, celery, and 2 bay leaves, NO tomatoes, or peas, but ADDED FRESH MUSHROOMS! Cooked ON THE STOVE!!! OUTSTANDING! 2 THUMBS UP!
