I loved this recipe. I used some of the suggestions in the reviews though! Served it over couscous when my parents were over and my whole family LOVED it.

Traditional Mashed Potatoes

LOVED this recipe thanks so much. I was looking for an old fashioned simple recipe as I lost mine and needed the measurements on the butter & milk. Came out wonderfully. Also the tips about warm milk were great :)

Tender Potato Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2010
Decided to try this recipe out on a whim. I followed the recipe exactly; only used about 4 cups of flour and brushed on some melted butter when they were done. They came out wonderfully. Soft and fluffy on the inside, golden on the outside. Hubby loved them and so did I

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
Having been raised Jewish I had never (honestly) seen a ham in my life let alone cooked one for Christmas dinner. But I really wanted to do something nice for my boyfriend. This recipe was a HUGE hit! He LOVED LOVED LOVED it. As did I. We ate it again (chilled) for lunch today. AMAZING.

Homemade Pan Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
Made with Christmas dinner. One of the easiest yeast recipes I've ever used. Dough came together very quickly, not much needing was necessary. Rose very well. Baked up quick. DELICIOUS, soft, warm and sweet. A new favorite here.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
amazing. The ONLY changes I made: Only used 1 (6lb) chicken, I cut out the hot pepper (don't like spicy food) and I added a few cloves of garlic to the chicken cavity. Other than that I followed this recipe exactly and it was amazing.

Beef Barley Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
This was an amazing meal and we had left-overs for a 2nd day, even with my bf's amazing appetite! lol I did however make a few minor changes: I doubled the garlic (4 cloves) because I love garlic I also substituted 1 can of diced tomatoes for the stewed because that's what I had on hand and I tripled the barley (1 full cup) because it just didn't seem enough to me. There was STILL plenty of liquid. Altogether though a very wonderful recipe

Shepherd's Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
We loved this. I did make a few little changes: added some fresh garlic and diced carrotts to the meat. And I layered the potatoes on the bottom. Also added some seasonings black pepper, garlic, pinch of curry and a little chilli powder. I also did not use the full cup of cheese. Hubby ate half the pie in one sitting it was so good lol

Carrot Cake XI

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
Loved it. Did make a few changes. Substituted apple sauce for most of the oil. Swapped 1/2 the sugar to brown. And doubled the cinnamon. Also only used 3 cups of grated carrots (because I ran out of carrots) Came out amazing though.

Pork Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
This was a really good recipe. However the ONLY package of wonton wrappers I could find was a 48 Ct package and it took about 1.2 lb of ground beef. I also did not use cabbage because I didn't have any. However I did follow the rest of the recipe exactly. It seems like a lot of liquid but it is actually perfect. I steamed them for about 15min and they came out WONDERFUL. My bf must have eaten about 30 of them lol. The dipping sauce in one of the reviews was quite good as well.

Runzas (meat pies)

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
I love this recipe. I've always made Chiborekee which are very similar except much smaller & fried. I wanted to try out a baked version and this recipe grabbed the win. Hubby & I absolutely loved them. I used 1 large onion instead of 2 small, and used 2 carrots (shredded) instead of cabbage. I gave this recipe 4 stars instead of 5 because we found the meat to be a little bland for us. Next time I plan to use more seasoning!

Triple Berry Crisp

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
This turned out pretty good I didn't give it 5 stars because I was a little turned off by the texture the oats provided but my bf & my friends LOVED this. I used a frozen berry mixture, which worked out really well. I also threw in a dash of allspice to bump up the flavor a little.

Juicy Roasted Chicken

I saw this recipe and combined it with another one that I had. Came out wonderfully :) Really loved the celery; it takes on the flavor of the chicken and it's the perfect "last bite" after the meal!
