About this Cook
I have 3 boys who are all the same age. They don't have the same taste as I do. Neither does my husband. I traveled the world growing up, and have acquired a tolerance for most foods. My hubby grew up in the South with simple foods. I love to bake but have NO TIME! Too busy cooking up stuff on my computers - making cartoons.

Thanks giving dinner is usually a hit. I also make good Black Forest cake and custard pie.

Zucchini Raspberry Cupcakes
The taste of these cupcakes was okay at best. The appearance was disgusting. Adding the raspberries was a mistake. The chocolate chips made the taste more chocolatey, but it would have been better to add more cocoa than add the chocolate chips and change the texture of the cupcake. I definitely would not make this again.

Strawberries with Balsamic Vinegar
Okay, I tried these because I wanted to know what the big deal was about strawberries and balsamic vinegar. It would really help if someone described the taste instead of just saying "delicious," or "terrible". I don't drink (alcohol), so the taste to me was very unpleasant. It tasted like strawberries steeped in wine. Not something I want to experience again, but at least I tried it, and I know what it tastes like... and if you are curious, at least here you got a description.

Black Forest Cake II
I think I'm more of a traditionalist - preferring the whipped cream slightly sweetened, and no buttercream. I usually have a cherry filling, instead of just cherries. In my opinion, the buttercream was too sweet, and having two "icings" made the flavor inconsistent. I would rather have a more sweetened whipped cream and use that between the layers, with home made cherry filling, and the whipped cream as an icing. On the plus side, I did like the fact that the cake was brushed with cherry juice (instead of Kirsch since I don't use alcohol). This was one of my worse black forest cakes.
