BBQ NY Strip

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2014
Way too much Worcestershire sauce. That flavor overpowered all others. If I make this again I'll probably cut that measurement down to 1-1/2 Tbsps at most. However, the steak was tender and juicy.

Grilled Balsamic and Soy Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2014
Absolutely outstanding! I had a 2 pound flank steak, so the cooking time was 3 minutes longer for it to come out medium rare. Other than that I used yellow mustard because that was all we had in the house. The flavor was terrific and the smell of the steak, while it was resting, just made my mouth water. Not only will we have this again, we'll try the marinate on some other things as well.

A truly outstanding recipe. If I can make this and have it turn out sooo good - anybody can.

The chops had a very light raspberry taste. All in all it was good.

Bourbolicious

I must have done something wrong because the mixture did freeze solid. However, once thawed a bit, the drink was quite flavorable.

Crispy Herb Baked Chicken

I loved it and so did my entire family. It's fairly easy (for a man) to put together and comes out wonderfully. Put this on your "must make" list.

Grandpa Harry's Holiday Punch

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2003
This excellent recipe received rave notices from guests ranging from 26 years old to something over 60. It's delicious and easy to make. But be careful - it'll sneak up on you if you drink too much.

Rib Eye Steaks with a Soy and Ginger Marinade

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2002
I let this sit in the fridge for one and a half hours. It didn't do much for the meat part of the steak, but the fat part picked up a wonderful taste. Perhaps it should have stayed in the marinade overnight for more flavor. As it was - not bad - but it could have been much better.

Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2002
The recipe calls for waaaaaay too much of almost everything! After I made this I had enough blue cheese dressing left over to cover at least two large salads! Cut everything in half and you'll do fine. There was also waaaaay too much butter. If you use this much you'll waste at least half. Cut that down as well. Then there's not near enough hot sauce. If you just want buttery chicken wings, I guess the recipe's okay, but if you want buffalo wings - use at least 3, yes I said 3, TABLESPOONS of hot sauce. Outside of all that - it tasted pretty good.

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2002
Really outstanding! I don't know about the claim that they can be prepared in 10 minutes and cooked in 20. There's at least 36 slices of bacon to wrap around the smokies. Then I baked them for 20 minutes, but they weren't ready. Another 5 minutes at 400 degrees still didn't do it. So I finished them in the broiler for 3 minutes - and everything was done to perfection. Served them with one dip of honey mustard, and another with dill mustard. Even the wife loved 'em.

A Marinade To Die For

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2001
I let the chicken sit in this mixture for five hours, yet very little flavor was added to the meat. I don't think I'll try this one again.

The flank steak was excellent - especially when having leftovers the next day.
