Carrot, Tomato, and Spinach Quinoa Pilaf

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2011
recently became a Quinoa fan & have cut out rice. very nice recipe, for those who said it didn't "pop", here's a little Indian secret...get "Biryani Mix" seasoning from the Indian store & put in a spoon of this when you add the black pepper. Amazingly tasty & flavor compliments the pilaf.

Keema (Indian-Style Ground Meat)

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
i gave this 4 stars but as an indian, it was still so bland for me! and hubby & i like food to be super flavorful. so what i did, i added 1/4 spn turmeric, 1 1/2 spns corriander pwder, 1/4 spn ginger garlic paste, 2 spns garlic powder, 1/2 chicken cube, dash of oregano, little ketchup and 2 1/2 spns of montreal chicken seasoning, red chili pwder and dash of red pepper flakes, and voila, it came out super duper tasty! once it's all cooked up nicely, i grind it to make the texture softer for the kids. ground beef now becomes very tender instead of rough meat. kids will love! ok, im sure indians are going to say this now NOT keema, lol, but for those of you who find this recipe bland, this is the way to spruce it up!!

Rigatoni in Vodka Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2010
fabulous recipe! the whole family loved it! can't wait to make this for my next get-together at the house:) i did add a bit to it though, which made it even more amazingly tasty:) when saute'ing the onions, i added 1/2 diced green bell pepper. once soft, i threw in 1 lb turkey sausage w/o the casing. then chopped it up while sautee'ing into chunks. 10 min later once it cooked, i added in 1/2 pack of frozen "cut spinach" and 2 diced zucchini. this way the meal becomes healthy for the family too:) then add in the vodka and sauces. and if you like flavor, when saute'ing the veggies, add 1 tspn italian seasoning, 1/2 spn paprika, salt, pepper, touch garlic pwder. i'm SO happy to have stumbled upon this recipe!!! thank you!! the blend of both sauces is soo yummy!! you better believe i'm gonna keep stock of these two Bertolli's sauces for when i'm in a bind. next time, maybe i'll add a bit of heavy cream to it too:-) xo
