this was a fantastic recipe although i did use fresh sweet potatoes which i cooked and mashed. had to make it for a potluck friendsgiving for more than eight people so i guessed about measurements but they turned out delicious.

Classic Tiramisu

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
after reading the reviews i made similar changes, i used 3/4 c sugar and mixed it with the eggs a bit before cooking. i added 1 tsp vanilla to the heavy whipping cream and whipped it in a chilled bowl. used soft lady fingers, 2 packages (but will get one more next time) and used a tbsp to pour the iced coffee over them. turned out fantastic. will make again

Apple Banana Cupcakes

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
these are fantastic!! the only things i changed were: veggie oil instead of shortening -kept the amount the same, chopped the apples and only used about 1 and 3/4 apples, added more banana- about 2 and 1/2. they taste so good with or without icing. definetely a keeper!!

Best Spanish Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2012
this was a good recipe tho i did change some things. didn't use onion, or the salsa. instead i blended a can of fire roasted tom chunks with cilantro and used that with the chicken broth. before simmering i added some parsley flakes. turned out fantastic and the man of the house is obsessed!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2012
oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are by far my favorite cookie ever. this recipe is so simple and the cookies turned out delicious. i omitted the nuts since my bf doesn't like nuts in anything but i will make some with nuts eventually for myself. great recipe will use over again and again and again.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2012
this is five stars with the adjustments i made but this recipe is a good starting point. i used one can of cream of chicken and one can of cheddar cheese soup. if the man of the house liked cream of mushroom soup i would've used that but owell. threw in some carrots along with the onion, then seasoned it all with parsley, poultry seasoning, salt, pepper, and a lil red pepper flakes. for my crockpot i only used one can of biscuits and it turned out perfect. will def make again

Holiday Brie en Croute

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2012
i made some adjustments to this recipe so here it goes. i only added slivered almonds on the top of the brie before covering it with crescent roll dough (but will try puff pastry next time), made my own raspberry jam and served it along side of the baked brie. very simple and delicious. can't wait to try other fruit/nuts/honey options, and adding them before baking next time

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2012
these things are heaven in your mouth, the boy and i became completely obsessed with these after making them three days in a row! (and then i had salad for a month haha) we figured out what worked and ended up using cooling racks to cook them on, on top of baking sheets, so they didn't sit in the bacon grease. i added a bit more brown sugar because the sweetness is what i love about these lil snack weenies. will def make again! many many many times!

Vanilla Glaze

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2012
i only used milk and confectioners sugar the first time i made this. i like it simple so i can add it to a bunch of different desserts. i usually do 2 c. suger and 2 T milk, i have added a touch of vanilla extract to it a couple times but i do like it with just the milk and sugar.
