About this Cook
Started cooking at home when I was a young teen, learned alot from watching and being allowed to help. Now as an adult, my cooking is different than what I learned then... who knew there was a whole new world of cuisine out there waiting for me to explore!!
My favorite things to cook
Comfort foods from scratch.. soups & stews, sweet & savoury pies, roasts, pastas, asian dishes..
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sunday dinners at my mom's house was always a tradition growing up, the girls (mom, gramma & I) would spend all afternoon prepping and cooking. Very fond memories I will always cherish.
My cooking triumphs
mastering pie dough.

Clark's Quiche
This is seriously DELISH!..and my only go to quiche recipe I will keep, and you can always omit this and that to customize the smaller ingredients to what you like.. For me. I omitted the spinach, simply because I didnt have any, I also omitted the Monterey Jack and Parmesan cheese and did simpley cheddar and mozzarella. I added fresh chives, and rosemary and parsley instead, and this quiche was a hit..there were no leftovers to speak of.

Basic Truffles
I have never made truffles before...so this recipe would be great for a beginner or anyone who is on a bit of a time crunch. Add whatever flavour you want with this recipe...I did two batches..I took the advice of one reviewer and added 3 Tbsp of Kahlua to one..which didn't have a kahlua taste to it at all. I also added some mint extract...very nice. Will make this recipe again, I suggest to anyone trying for the first time to freeze the mix before you roll..it's very messy.

Egg Noodles
For anyone who doesn't have milk for this recipe and decides to add half and half cream instead...DON"T DO IT!.. I did...and the dough was so still I could barely roll it out. I had to stand on a chair to put my weight down on the rolling pin to get it to move. In the end I managed to make great tasting pasta, which my 4 year old said looked like french fries..lol.. she ended up eating 2 bowls of pasta. The flavour is good, and I will definitely be making again, but with milk this time...fingers crossed..
