These cookies were good. I had puffy cookies until they left the oven, then they flattened out. The flavor was good when using butter Crisco, but it may have been a little too much butter flavor. I also added a teaspoon of vanilla as some had suggested. I did not get enough cinnamon flavor, so I will add some to the dough next time. One thing I noticed, when baking the first batch of cookies, I used two small trays. The bottoms got done a little too much. When I did the last batch, I used one large tray and they came out perfect at 8 minutes.

Three Packet Slow Cooker Roast

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Insane Oven Beef Ribs

These came out wonderful!! I had to do something different because my grill broke and I was planning on BBQ ribs. I ended up trying this recipe and it turned out great. I did do a couple of things different. I put all the sauce in with the ribs in a glass dish and covered it with foil for the first 15 minutes. Once the sauce had thickened up, I removed the foil, turned the ribs, brushed the sauce all over them and cooked for another 15 minutes without covering. They came out perfect! I will make this again!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

I decided to try something to thicken the soup a little, having seen a comment about that. I made the roux exactly the way it was listed in the recipe with one exception...I used one cup of milk and one cup of heavy cream. It came out perfect and made the soup much thicker. I also added some frozen corn and garlic and onion powder to taste. I left the celery out, there is a lot of water in celery, it waters down the recipe and I do not like the flavor of cooked celery. I used three medium sized potatoes, and left the skins on. I also used a splash of chicken broth I had left in the fridge instead of the bullion. The soup came out very thick, almost like chowder...will definitely make again and again!!!

Chicken Shawarma

Excellent dinner! My husband is a recovering vegetarian, and he loved this dish! we have eaten this a couple of times, and it tastes great. I had trouble finding tahini, so I left it out, and it still was tasty. I had to cook the chicken almost an hour, even boneless, but it came out perfect.

Spicy Pakistani Zucchini

This dish was a delight for my husband and I. Since he used to be a vegetarian before he met me, I try to find some all veggie recipies for him. This turned out spicier than I thought it would, but is was fine for us. It does make a lot more than a two person meal; however and cutting the amounts that go into it will work, but it seems to be spicier that way.
