Banana Walnut Cornbread

Absolutely LOVE this recipe!!! The only change I made was using agave nectar instead of honey and coconut oil instead of veg oil. I also added 1/2 cup of homemade applesauce. But the recipe is outstanding. Nice and healthy and filling. I was also able to get more servings that what is listed since it is so filling.

Vegan Agave Cornbread Muffins

I have been making this for awhile now and this is my favorite corn muffin recipe. I made them today and actually made the Baked Applesauce from this site and used it instead of store bought. I didnt think this recipe could get any better but it did!!!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

I picked 5 recipes from this site to bake for a fund raiser at work and to be honest this did not live up to the reviews. The Peanut Butter Cupcake from this site was by far the biggest hit and this was the biggest dud and only a few sold. Even my kids who love anything cookie dough were not impressed. They came out exactly like they should but just did not get the WOW factor expected. Good idea but just ok.

Peanut Butter Cupcakes

I made this plus 4 other cupcakes from this site for a fund raiser at work topped with store bought fudge frosting and half of a peanut butter cup. This was the first one to sell out with people looking for more. I just made them again and topped with peanut butter frosting (1 tub of vanilla store bought frosting and 3/4 cup PB and 1 TBS of milk) and they were AMAZING. I am not a chocolate freak so these have to one of the best cupcakes ever. They will be moist as long as you DO NOT over bake. My only change was to use oil instead of shortening.

Peanut Butter Cupcakes

Chocolate Fudge Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting

This rating is for the frosting only. I made the peanut butter cupcakes from this site (amazing) and wanted PB frosting instead of chocolate. After reading several recipes I chose this one for ease. Why make all the mess when everything you need for the frosting is already done. It was wonderful and made the cucakes taste even better than they were plain. I did add a TBS if milk to soften it a little since the cupcakes were so moist it just made it easier to spread. Awesome!!!!

Fluffy Pancakes

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

I made this recipe for my mother-in-law who always has some comment on how to make my food better, but this time she called and raved at how wonderful this bread is. Even my 13 yr old daughter thought this was the best bread ever. I guess we have a winner. I did not slice the bananas since you want the flavor all through the bread I just put the whole bananas in with the butter sugar mixture and beat them in. (Really not sure I want chunks of banana in it since they discolor if not eatten quickly.) Other than that this recipe is Mother-in-law, teenager approved.

My Kid's Favorite Pork Chops

If I could give this recipe 10 stars I would. My family loved it. I even emailed this recipe to everyone I know that likes to cook and the ones who tried were very impressed. I loved it so much I decided to run with the sauce and the next week I simmered the beer, BBQ sauce and onions for 1/2 hour, then I added 2 cut up peppers and shredded chicken and let that simmer for 20 minutes then I added 8 oz of mushrooms and let that simmer for 10 more minutes and then served it over brown rice. My family loved it. Thanks for such a great recipe.

Bananas 'N' Cream Bundt Cake

I have made this cake numerous times and everytime it comes out perfect. This is the one bundt cake recipes that does not overbake and get that too dark outside. I gave one to the neighbor for taking my son to school and she told him it was better than her recipe. I also tried it one day with 1 cup pumpkin and 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice and came out wonderful. This is in my favorite "gotta use the old bananas" recipe box.

D'Amaretti Biscotti

I bake hundreds of dozen cookies during the holiday season and the one time I tried biscotti I did not have any luck so I have not made any since. Yesterday I was feeling quite festive and decided to give these a try and to my amazememnt these came out "perfect". I have to slice them a little thinner next time but they still came out perfect I just added 5 minutes to the second baking time. Made exactly as the recipe stated, but this is a great recipe to experiment with. If this is the only recipe you try you will not be disappointed. Just make sure you dont make them any wider than 2 inches since they do spread. The smell is just heavenly. I will never buy the over priced crumblely cookies they call biscotti again. I will be excited to see if my Italian family shares my enthusiasm about these wonderful cookies.

Cranberry Scones

Made these scones for Thanksgiving and was thankful that I did. Thye were wonderful. I did not knead by hand as they were kind of sticky I just mixed in the bowl until they were combined but not over worked. I did not add extra flour as I did not want them to be to tough. This recipe is perfect and you get a nice fluffy scone that is not as dense and others I have tried. For the others that complained that this dough was to sticky you dont want a heavy scone and this is not heavy and yes it does spread when you bake it. if you use two cookie sheets and place the dough on it and shape it with your spatula they do turn out perfect. The only change I made was to use lemon zest as I did not have any oranges. I have tried other recipes that use lemon with cranberries instead of orange and it is a nice surprise when you bite into it and get the refreshing lemon burst. Loved these so much I am making another batch right now. This will be the only scone recipe I will use. Despite a few of the low ratings this really is the best scone recipe. The only thing I can say is that they bake much better in a gas oven than electric. I have used both and they seem to spread more in an electric oven.

Fresh Blueberry Pie II

I can bake almost anything but the art of pie baking eludes me until this one. My husband, who is my biggest critic, LOVED this pie. So easy and comes out great. I used fresh for the bottom layer and frozen for the cooked layer and it was wonderful. This is definitely a keeper.

Hawaiian Banana Nut Bread

This bread was wonderful!! I made it in the middle of zucchini season and when I brought it to work I think everyone was glad that is did not have any zucchini in it. Very moist and flavorful.

Cinnamon Rolls III

I made this for Christmas Morning breakfast and my girlfriend's husband could not stop eatting them. Everyone loved them, even the kids who normall want the ones in the tube. I made them the night before and put them in the fridge and in the morning they sat out for about 3 hrs before I cooked them and they came out perfect. Can't wait to make them and bring them to work.

Cranberry Nut Bread II

This bread was exactly what I was looking for. Came out perfect and the house smelled wonderful. This is definatley a keeper. Only change I made was using 1/4 cup of oil in place of the butter since I was being lazy and didnt feel like cutting the butter into the flour. Came out perfect. Makes the house smell like the holidays.

Honey Bun Cake

My son loved this cake! I made it in a 9 x 13 pan and added walnuts also. But it was just wonderful. Everyone that tried just got this big smile on their face and their eyes lit up with that "WOW" look. Once they were able to talk again they were asking for seconds.
