Reuben Sandwich I

Delicious sandwich! I had to use American cheese because I was out of Swiss, and it was still tasty. Even my pickiest eater in the household ate it! I like Granny Loohoo's tip about heating the meat and the sauerkraut separately. You definitely need a griddle instead of a pan, because these sanwiches require two hands to flip and to eat!

We loved this recipe. I plan on modifying ingredients to make a meatless version for my vegeterian son. I made a double batch, and they were gone before the end of the week.

Banana Banana Bread

This bread got gobbled right up! I made 4 mini loaves instead of one large, and this reduces the cooking time dramatically. Be careful, and check after 45 minutes if making smaller loaves.

Tender Pan-Fried Chicken Breasts

Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork

Spectacular! I had to make the recipe without Worcestershire sauce, and with dark brown sugar instead of light, but it was two thumbs up from my family and guests. Makes plenty for leftovers and a second meal.

Perfect soup for a cold day. I used vegetable broth instead of chicken to accomodate a vegetarian family member, and had to use dried spices instead of fresh. It's a great recipe to add any type of vegetable you want.

Pierogi Casserole

This is a delicious substitutes to traditional pierogis! I would suggest draining the bacon well since the bottom of my casserole was a bit oily. Everyone in my family loved it. I think you could modify the mixing and layering to your own liking and the dish will still turn out great. I would also recommend covering the dish while baking because my noodles were a bit hard around the edges.

Kris' Amazing Shredded Mexican Beef

Muy bueno! This is a delicious meat filling for Mexican dishes...tacos, enchiladas, burritos....It was just the right amount of spicy for me, but I like the heat. Faint of heart should follow the author's suggestion to cut down some of the ingredients.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Very nice recipe. I left out the ginger, and added garlic powder. I also put the glaze on top after cooking for 30 minutes. Tasty! It's a keeper!

Pecan Turtle Bars

I didn't care for the texture of the bottom layer. I might try using more butter next time. It was very crumbly, and almost resembled sand. Also, I needed more chocolate chips than the recipe called for. I'm going to play around with the measurements and try this again, because I love turles!
