Chili Seasoning Mix II

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2013
We have actually used this several times. I will make chili at least once a month here in cold country lol. I make it exactly as its written add 2lb home grown beef, roughly 6 cans of rinsed beans any variety ( we like to mix them), 2 green/red peppers, 1-2 cans diced tomatoes, 3 cans of tomato sauce diced onion and the entire bowl of seasoning into my crockpot, then add water to the brim( its really not that much) where it sits on low for 6-8 hours. As for the comments on the flour made it taste like flour in order to change the chemical structure of the flour it has to be hot enough long enough then it blends nicely. Just as if you were making gravy, if it doesn't cook long enough it tastes the same. Hope this helps :)

Easy Indian Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2012
I made the light version. I used 1/4 cup of the butter and substituted 2 cans of evaporated milk for the heavy cream. Doing this took 2000 calories off the sauce alone! The only thing that I added was tumeric..Just a dash, and doubled garmam masala and cayenne pepper. Served with the Indian Basmati rice also found on this site, and steamed carrots. The family loves this, it has now been added to our regular dishes. Thanks for sharing

Turkey and Yam Spicy Tacos

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
This was excellent! I changed a few things. I used leftover Turkey from Christmas. Shred the turkey, one jalapeno, taco seasoning packet in place of the seasonings. For the salsa i added homemade salsa. No tomatillo salsa. added lettuce, cheese and sourcream. :) YUMM

Butternut Squash and Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2011
Im giving this 4 stars only because I didnt feel that there were enough seasonings. So I looked up chili seasonings on here and added that for the seasonings. My family loved it...After the kids ate it I told them it was squash. They were shocked. Thanks for this dish.

We love this dish. Very simple from the dishes I have made before. I followed almost everything. I put 2lbs of cubed steak in place of the ground beef and 24 oz of tomato sauce with a 15 oz can of diced tomatoes with chilies... YUMMM all the way. Enjoy :)
