Great recipe. I used a little more ginger and a little vegetable oil for more moistness. Everyone loved it.

Chaat - Dahi Batata Puri

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2006
I made this for a group that included a couple families from India. I thought it was a real dud, until my wonderful Indian friends showed me how to mix it all in bowls over broken up crakers (I was trying to balance all the toppings on top of the crackers!!!). They loved it!!!! Thanks for introducing me to Indian cooking!!!!

There is nobody more surprised than me that this stuff rocked. I make it for my African co-worker and he was thrilled. He said it was very authentic and delicious. I now find myself putting peanut butter in other soup recipes!

Lentil Soup with Lemon

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
I was looking for a way to love lentils and I believe I've found it with this recipe. Very easy and very tasty...a new comfort food standard for me. I loved the texture of the soup without the bother of having to puree it. Didn't have tomato paste so I simply added a can of chopped tomatoes and it turned out great.

With all the restaurants, gourment foods, and the latest and greatest cooking gadgets available, it's still hard to beat old-fashioned comfort food. This is so simple and s-o-o-o good for the palate and the soul. Thanks for reminding me of home!!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2011
Wonderful!! Just like my mom's. but she didn't have the convenience of a slow cooker. I put the meat and stock in the crockpot before going to bed...added the veggies in the morning. Came home to a very welcoming aroma and ate myself into a food coma. Ahh!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Fabulous. This was so much like Mom's beef stew. I put the beef and boullion in the crockpot before I went to bed...added the veggies in the morning. Came home to the welcoming aroma. The meat fell apart and the gravy was perfect. It's a repeat for sure!

Irish Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2011
Ilm 62 years old and have never made chicken and dumplings. I made this for my son and daughter-in-law when they brought they're new baby home. We all loved it. I personally can live without poultry seasoning, so next time I'll omit it...but I definitely had no trouble making a pig out of myself over the recipe as is. Thanks for sharing...it's a keeper.
