Best Bobotie

One of my employees introduced me to some African dishes...now I'm obsessed. The Bobotie is awesome! Very easy to make. Meatloaf on steroids!!

With all the restaurants, gourment foods, and the latest and greatest cooking gadgets available, it's still hard to beat old-fashioned comfort food. This is so simple and s-o-o-o good for the palate and the soul. Thanks for reminding me of home!!

Southern Peach Cobbler

Oh my gosh...fabulous. I made it for my employee's birthday and he loved it. Very easy and I didn't even turn my kitchen into a disaster zone like I usually do when I bake. This is definitely a keeper!

Carrots Au Gratin

This is the only way I will eat cooked carrots as the main characters. I generally don't like them on their own, but love them as ingredients in other dishes. This is an exception...thanks for sharing.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

I'm not a fulltime vegetarian but I go through vegetarian phases. I'm not real crazy about the frozen food variety of veggie burgers, but these are great! Thanks for sharing!

My family and co-workers whine for these! Always a big hit. I love the dough and sometimes make caramel rolls using this dough. These babies make a very nice food gift!

African Peanut Soup

There is nobody more surprised than me that this stuff rocked. I make it for my African co-worker and he was thrilled. He said it was very authentic and delicious. I now find myself putting peanut butter in other soup recipes!

Irish Chicken and Dumplings

Ilm 62 years old and have never made chicken and dumplings. I made this for my son and daughter-in-law when they brought they're new baby home. We all loved it. I personally can live without poultry seasoning, so next time I'll omit it...but I definitely had no trouble making a pig out of myself over the recipe as is. Thanks for sharing...it's a keeper.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Wonderful!! Just like my mom's. but she didn't have the convenience of a slow cooker. I put the meat and stock in the crockpot before going to bed...added the veggies in the morning. Came home to a very welcoming aroma and ate myself into a food coma. Ahh!
