Zesty Tomato Soup for One

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2015
I don't even like tomato soup but this sounded good so I had to try it. Used a whole roma, added a clove of garlic as others suggested. Blended in the Vitamix and topped with a bit of avocado and cheese. Served with a crusty roll. Made for an awesome 5 minute lunch. Thank you~

Grandma's Gingersnaps

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2013
Oh wow, these were fantastic!!! Only sub I used was butter for margarine. Results were crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, thin, uniform, delicious cookies. My only regret is that I didn't make a double batch, because these bad boys were hard to leave alone after they were set on the cooling rack. :o)

Old-Fashioned Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2013
The only 'modification' I did was fresh parsley instead of dried, and I used chicken stock that I prepared myself, fresh off of two chickens that sat on the smoker for dinner a couple nights ago. This imparted a nice, smoky, bacon-like flavor to the stock (omg, you should have smelled the house when it was cooking down, lol) Aside from that, followed the instructions to the T and I'm very pleased with this recipe. Pleased enough that I know it would be just as good without the smoked chicken stock (but then I'd be apt to add bacon :D )

Italian Style Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2012
Made this last night for dinner and the entire family gobbled up every last bit of it. Incredible! My minor changes: fresh diced tomatoes rather than canned, fresh basil rather than dried, low fat mozz cheese sticks stuffed in the middle for a surprise cheese layer. Zowee! So good!

Quick Mix Spritz

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
For those complaining about the use of butter....not everyone can digest milk protein, which is found in butter. Thank you, Sherri, for providing this wonderful recipe. I'm participating in a cookie swap with my inlaws. I couldn't fathom everyone getting to chow down on their own collection of cookies while my 11 year old nephew sat and watched without any of his own to enjoy. I used butter flavored Crisco and they came out fantastic, every bit as good as my standard spritz cookies. Thank you!

Campbell's® 15-Minute Chicken and Rice Dinner

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
The original Campbell's recipe calls for onion salt in addition to black pepper, which may be why some folks are saying this is bland. It also only calls for ONE cup of rice, not two, which is definitely the reason folks are complaining about having to add additional water. I make this recipe per the Campbell's website and it comes out tasty every time :)

Apple Puff Pancake

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2011
So yummy. I used to make something very similar to this based off a recipe I got in jr high home economics class but lost the recipe :( This came out super awesome and tasty. I tripled the recipe so I could feed my whole family, and there's not a morsel left on anyone's plate. Thanks for sharing! Came out nice, thick, custard-like, with all the delicious flavors of apple pie. Mmmmm!!

Flat Iron Steak with Three Pepper Rub

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2011
This was an incredible rub which turned a boring ol' flat iron steak into a tender slab o' yum! I don't know why I've always relied on marinades as opposed to rubs, but this recipe proved to me beyond a shadow of doubt that dry rubs yield very tender and flavorful results. Thank you!

Apple-Cinnamon Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
Thank you for this awesome recipe! I made it with the same ingredients, but rather than layering the sugar mixture, I did this: Ripped up bread, let it dry overnight. Mix cored/sliced/chopped apples in the cinnamon/sugar/nutmeg mixture and toss on top of bread. Mix eggs, milk, vanilla, milk together and dump over top of apples/bread. Bake! It was really, really yummy. As I tend to watch my caloric intake, I don't get to eat stuff like this a lot. This was a perfect breakfast to eat right before heading out for a 50 mile bike ride. Nutrition to get me through the ride, and was able to burn it off before the ride was over, so it was guilt-free! Like someone else mentioned, I did not have time to let this cook in the morning, so I set my stove to start at 5am, and left the casserole dish in the oven before heading to bed. Came out perfect!

FANTASTIC! It is a special moment when you come across a recipe that really just straight up knocks your socks off and by golly, I had one of those moments tonight! As suggested by the original poster, I tossed in some dice tomatoes along with the rest of the ingredients and found an instant hit. Thanks for sharing!
