I followed the recipe except I added 1.5 lbs of chicken, .5lb of potatoes, chopped ginger, and hot sauce . I let it cook for a little over an hour until the sauce was thick. After it was done I found it to be too sweet. I used unsweetened coconut milk and I only added 2 tbls of sugar. I tried everything to tone down the sugar but nothing worked. I will attempt to make this again with much less sugar and better quality curry powder. The traditional curry smell did not fill my home and I used 4 tbls of powder. My local grocery store doesn't carry international seasoning, but I will venture out to a Indian market next time.
