Country Apple Dumplings

I just made these and it is soooooo GOOD! I was running out of ways to use up the 25+ lbs of apples from picking, but I am so glad I found this one. I reduced the amount of sugar to 3/4 cup and added 1/4 cup of brown sugar. I also used 1/2 cup of butter and 1.5 tsp of cinnamon. This is super fast and easy. I will try freezing the leftovers for breakfast on the go....

Mom's Warm Milk

Tastes great! Not sure if it helps me fall asleep, but it does help me stay asleep. No tossing/turning or waking up during my sleep. First few times I added the ground nutmeg directly into the milk but I don't enjoy the floating spice. Now I cut open a tea bag, empty the contents and replace it with nutmeg, then just staple or string it back up. Same great flavor without getting the nutmeg in your teeth.

Hot Fudge Sauce

This recipe is just amazing. For months I've been trying to duplicate the fudge served at my favorite ice cream parlor. Now I've found it. This fudge taste the same, but the texture is even better. I serve this on top of HDazs cherry vanilla ice cream/vanilla, melted fluff, whipped cream and a cherry on top.

Chicken Enchiladas II

This recipe was pretty good. I didn't have any sour cream so I added a little bit of lowfat plain Greek yogurt. This added great flavor and it tasted just like sour cream. I did follow the advice from a reviewer by adding taco seasoning to the chicken. This gave it that Mexican taste, I cant imagine how it would taste without the seasoning. I used corn tortillas instead of flour. I also added some chopped tomatoes and salsa on top when it was done baking.

Curried Coconut Chicken

I followed the recipe except I added 1.5 lbs of chicken, .5lb of potatoes, chopped ginger, and hot sauce . I let it cook for a little over an hour until the sauce was thick. After it was done I found it to be too sweet. I used unsweetened coconut milk and I only added 2 tbls of sugar. I tried everything to tone down the sugar but nothing worked. I will attempt to make this again with much less sugar and better quality curry powder. The traditional curry smell did not fill my home and I used 4 tbls of powder. My local grocery store doesn't carry international seasoning, but I will venture out to a Indian market next time.

Pork Chops to Live For

I am not a fan of pork chops, but my family loves them. The texture has a lot to do with the reason why I dislike them. I followed the advice from a few members and it turned out amazing. My family knows I avoid pork chop night, and they thought I tried to trick them by using lamb instead of pork. The meat was so soft and moist like beef or lamb. The meat just fell apart without effort. The sauce was tasty over rice. I will be making this more often for pork chop night.

Salisbury Steak

This recipe is amazing. I followed the advice of other users before making this dish. I used all of the measurements from the original recipe except I added half an onion sauteed, 1/2 tsp of gravy master, one package of onion soup mix and one can cream of mushroom. I was able to make 8 good size patties instead of 6. This is one of the best recipes I've found in a long time. I will be making this more often.!!!!!

Great recipe! I tried the double broiler but it took about 15 mins to reach 100 degrees. So I just put it in a regular pot, med heat, stirred constantly and in 5 mins it reached 160 degrees. This is very simple and it tastes amazing. I did not want to kill the flavor so I stuck with the 1 cup of rum and 1/2 cup water. If any of my guest wants more they can always add it.
