Real Welsh Rarebit

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2013
My grandmother made this for me and I find myself "craving" it every so often. This version worked well and enjoyed every bite with the traditional soda cracker. It doesn't "reheat" well (no rarebit does), so plan on having a friend or two over to enjoy such a wonderful treat!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2013
I have made this over and over. It is one of my famly's most common "requests" I have played with the "dumpling" part... used the biscuits, used bisquick drop biscuits, and others. ALL were delicious. This is such a terrific, easy way to make comfort food. My family prefers boneless, skinless chicken thighs and they work wonderfully. Don't discount this one! It's truly excellent!!

Quick and Easy Yorkshire Pudding

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2013
I have never made pudding before, but have eaten and loved it. This recipe IS very easy. However, I agree with other reviewers, a hotter oven (around 425) and then reduce to 375 worked better. I have to try a different pan. Even though I used a high quality non-stick pan and butter, the puddings stuck horribly. I am going to try some other recipes an a professional silicone pan. I think the puddings tasted good, although not as good as my friend from Canada who makes the best yorkshire pudding I've ever had in my life. I think yorkshire pudding is VERY personal and everyone's taste is different!

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2011
Islander or mainlander, you're gonna LOVE LOVE LOVE this recipe... honestly, I add a touch more "smoke" to mine for my family tastes. It is perfect! Don't hesitate on this one! (Also, if you don't have sea salt, regular works.. so don't panic - just use less - salting to taste after cooking is always healthier) Aloha!
