It was excellent! I did add more garlic and more seasoning, but otherwise proportions and taste were great. I followed the advice in one of the reviews about cooking it half way the night before and finishing off with cheese and 15 (more like 30) minutes in the oven and would do it again, it's always better the next day :-)

Mom's Rum Cake

I've made this rum cake (without pecans though) at least 10 times. It's absolutely wonderful, my family goes crazy over it. I've experimented with different liquors as well (lemoncello with lemon cake mix and baily's irish cream with chocolate cake mix), it turned out great. Still, rum cake rocks! Thank you for sharing it.
