Muenster Chicken and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2001
My mother gave this same recipe to me several years ago. I like this for a large group because I brown the chicken up ahead of time, so all that's needed is a quick 30 minutes in the oven. I add a few unusual mushrooms for the bonus flavors.

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
The lemon poppyseed dressing is the only dressing my family puts on any salad.

Much better than just banana bread. I needed to bake longer than suggested and had 12 muffins.

I used almonds instead of pecans. Outstanding cake, moist and rich. We served leftover glaze warm on the side.

Skillet Chops with Mushroom Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2007
Wonderful recipe, I changed nothing. I served this to a few people who don't care for mushrooms or gravy and they raved about the dish.

Absolutely fabulous. To reduce the fats I used turkey and ham. Leftovers were great for breakfast!

Zippy Egg Casserole

Excellent. Made to the recipe exactly. Not enough for 12 because everyone wants seconds. I like the fact that everything is done the night before. Highly recommended.

Great for "2 buck chuck". Remove orange after 30 minutes or the wine will turn bitter.

Madeleines II

Reviewed: May 5, 2009
These were outstanding. I made them in a silicone madeleine pan, no problem getting them out of the pan. Just a little problem keeping the melted butter cool but still a liquid. A real keeper.

Christmas Eve Beef Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2004
I made this for New Year Eve, it was wonderful. I floured and browned the beef for some additional flavor/looks, double the herbs, increased the wine (cheap merlot), and used a brown gravy packet as someone else suggested. Really liked the tomato in the stew.

I made it to the recipe except for the sour cream. It was very easy to make and absolutely delicious. I've made it several times both with beef and turkey kielbasa, great every time.

Cheeseburger and Fries Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2005
Because of the mixed reviews I wasn't sure if I would care for this. The whole family enjoyed it. I made it exactly to the recipe but cut everything in half. Quick and easy to make. These soups are a little high in salt so don't over season the beef. We'll have this again.
