For starters, I'm Amber! I'm the loving mother of two amazing boys, Elias and Lawson, and Wife to a United States Sailor. I am quite an offbeat home maker, I have lots of tattoos and piercings, and I listen to gothic music (not heavy metal for those who
might wonder) to relax. One of the…

I'm a girl. 10 fingers, 10 toes etc. I am married to a WONDERFUL man, who serves our country in the United States Navy. We have two spectacular little boys, Elias 2 and Lawson 4 months. I'm a housewife, and as much as I can be a total combination of Martha Stewart and Julia Child, I'm quite the offbeat homemaker. I have a lot of tattoos, and a lot of piercings, and my perfect evening in with my husband consists of a glass of good wine, and a table top role playing game called Vampire: The Masquerade. :)
My favorite things to cook

Apart from that, I love to make Chicken Marsala, Chicken Parmigiana, Bourbon Chicken, Beef Burgundy over egg noodles, bronzed fish and cilantro lime steak. (these are among my many favorites)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sadly, despite all of the amazing cooks in my family, we have no cooking traditions.
My cooking triumphs
One day, I walked into my very tiny kitchen in Massachusetts and started throwing things in a pot. I had no recipe, nor had I ever made a creamy soup before, but the end result- according to my sister and husband- was MAGIC. I had created Chicken and Dumpling soup/chowder. I had never even looked at a recipe, and I'm sure my method was not the way most go about it, but it worked!
My cooking tragedies
I think the only time I've ever screwed up was when I second guessed myself the first time I ever made Lobster Bisque (yeah, sadly it was an expensive screw-up)
The color didn't look right, so I added way more Cayenne Pepper, and ruined it.
