Pizza Casserole

We were not overly thrilled with this. Our 12 year old daughter said it was a nice switch from tuna casserole but she liked tuna casserole better. Our 11 year old daughter did not care for it that much. My husband thought it wasn't that bad. I felt a little less then that about it. I wonder if the pizza sauce would make a difference. We used Classico brand. I appreciate though a site where we can leave feedback.

Peking Pork Chops

Our family liked it. I think I have heard Hoison sauce called Chinese catsup. Based on another recommendation, I used hoison sauce in place of catsup. I used half light soy sauce. For us, 4 1/2 hours was a bit long and the pork chops were starting to dry out. I also added a bit of pineapple juice towards the end based on someone else writing that they had added pineapple. Also added a little rice vinegar. I will definately make this again because even though we changed some of it, we liked the flavor and having another slow cooker recipe.

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

These were a hit for us. I had to substitute garlic powder for the onion powder because I it was what I had. I did take one reviewers suggestion of making it the same day. I followed the recipe but then put it on the crock pot on low. They were there for about 4 hours and were great. I like being about to keep the oven free and have one less thing to do at the time the meal is ready.

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

I made the adjustments others had suggested of adding 2 cans of cream of chicken soup. I also cooked a thin chicken breast in water, cut it up and added to the soup instead of canned chicken. I also added some cumin and garlic powder. At the very end, I added some fresh cilantro and fresh lime juice. We liked it. Will make it again.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Loved it! With the wine we used, it tasted pretty strong so I added more chicken broth (substitued for water) after it cooked, used cornstarch and water to thicken and then salt and pepper. I noticed the recipe says it is for 6. There are 2 adults, 2 girls ages 11 & 9, and we had a little left - not enough or 2 more people though! This will be a regular for us.
