Grilled Pheasant Poppers

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
These were great! I am making them again tomorrow, my pheasant is soaking in milk to remove the gamey taste as we speak. Im thinking of making shish kabobs out of them this time for a meal instead of an appetizer. Also going to try the broiler as the grill is put away for the winter.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2012
Perfection. EXACTLY what I was looking for! I like my banana bread tasty, heavy, sticky/moist and dessert like rather than a bread or cake consistency. I used 6 bananas (and forgot to measure them for future referrence) I added 1 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp nutmeg. Next time I will use 1 tsp of each to make it even better.

Salsa Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2011
Very good. I added a little extra salsa. I also added Franks Red Hot Sauce to taste until it was as spicy as I wanted. I sauteed the onions in butter and pepper and garlic salt and added celery. I also added a can of corn. Someone mentioned it was too much rice for them. I did not find this to be even close to true. I will definately make it again, but I will try it with 2 cups of cheese. The words "too much cheese" have never crossed my lips.. til now. To save time and dishes next time I will mix it all together then top it with cheese and bake it. Might fry the chicken next time too. Its good, enjoy.

Layered Seafood Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
I used imitation crab cuz we like it and I forgot to buy the shrimp. But it was still great. We dont like Mayo so I used Miracle Whip. I was worried about cream cheese, sour cream and mayo together but was pleasantly suprised.

Easy Pheasant Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
We all liked this. I used frozen broccoli because its what I had on hand. TIP... soak your pheasant in milk over night to get rid of the "gamey" taste

Crab Spread I

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
I made this twice. First time I accidentally used Chile Sauce instead of Cocktail Sauce. We didnt like it with Chile Sauce. Second time I used imitaion crab flakes cut up. I mixed half the crab with the cream cheese to make it more dipable and a little less heavy. Then added the Cocktail Sauce and topped with remaining crab. I did this cuz it was a potluck and I wanted people to know what was inside the dip. The pie plate was clean when I left, so it was a hit.

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2012
Very good. I used 3/4 c. butter as per other reviews and it was more than enough, but not too much. I used spicy brown mustard because I didnt know there was a difference and its what I buy. If I use spicy brown next time I would cut it down to 1 3/4 TBSP. I stirred in 1/3 c. Kraft parmeasan cheese after it came out of the oven served it over carrot/tomato/spinach blend linguini, because the store was out of regular spinach linguini. I HATE to cook and avoid recipes that are overly complicated or have too many ingredients. This was perfect for me, new, tasty, quick and easy peasy.

Chewy Peanut Butter Crisps

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2011
I ruined them. I took the advice of someone else and made "bars" but it didnt work even after cooking for 25 mins. So then I spread it all out on a cookie sheet and baked 5 more mins. Its ugly and kinda burnt but the taste was ok, we ate them. P.S. I also used PAM on the pan, dont... cuz they are plenty greasy and wont stick.

Campbell's® Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
Tried it for Thanksgiving and everyone said it was ok but not as good as our regular (boring and plain) beans, mushroom soup and fried onions. I wanted something special and thought the soy sauce and milk might do the trick. We found it too watery for our tastes and the soy sauce was just odd.

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
This was not for us. I wanted something different than the plain old traditional green bean casserole so I made this for Christmas dinner. I made it exactly as posted. Out of 10 of us only one person said it was just ok, the rest didnt like the flavor. But give it a try, you may love it since so many others do. Never know what ya like until you try new things.
