Best Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2012
I love this recipe, they turned out amazing! I did every thing exactly as directed except I did add about a TBSP of milk to the frosting, and it was perfect. I made them for the 2nd time tonight, and they're now my only brownie recipe. Never again from a box!

Lana's Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: May 31, 2012
I didn't make the meatballs, I used frozen meatballs cause I was short on time, but I made the sauce, and simmered the meatballs in it and it was amazing! We all LOVED it. Even my picky 5 year old. I didn't put the carrots in it, but everything else I did. I put a little less brown sugar than called for. I also doubled the sauce. I will definitely make again and again. Thank you! Yummy.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2011
This was excellent! I didn't have mayo so I used light miracle whip, and then I added an extra TBSP 1 1/2 or so of the vinegar and sugar to mask a little more of the strong "miracle whip" flavor, and let it sit overnight. It's delicious. I did substitute halved grapes for the raisins per other reviews, and I used red wine vinegar cause that's all I had. I got rave reviews from my "fancy" in-laws. I will definitely make this again!

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
I loved this salad! I did add blue cheese crumbles in it the second time I made it and now I don't think it's complete without it, it was a perfect compliment to the flavors. The dressing was super yummy, and it got great reviews at both parties I brought it to. Definitely make the dressing well beforehand so the flavors have time to meld together, and I toasted the almonds and the sesame seeds in the oven per other's recommendations. 350 for 10 min. I reduced the sugar the first time I made it, and then did the full amount the second time. I prefer it with the full amount, I didn't think it was too sweet, it was perfect. Great recipe, thank you! I will definitely make this again! Oh, it is HUGE though, I am sure next time I will half the recipe.

We thought this was great, thank you! I mixed the black beans in with the sauce, and we topped with sour cream and a little cheese.

Playgroup Granola Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2011
They were ok, I've made them twice now. I just think the flavor or the texture is too heavy, I think it's the oil. Other than the heaviness, the flavor was great. I will probably keep tweeking around with it, but as is, I rated a 3. My 2 year old really likes them.

Crispy Orange Beef

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2011
I thought this was excellent. I usually don't cook too many things in oil because of fat content, but the reviews tempted me to try it, and I'm glad I did, we loved it. The beef was awesome, I loved the orang-y asian glaze, it was awesome. I had some left-over spaghetti noodles, so I cooked some broccoli into the beef and sauce, and tossed it with the noodles. It was great!!

Amazing Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2011
I thought it was amazing. It was juicy and delicious, baked to perfection. I did add a couple extra seasonings to the breadcrumbs (crushed french fried onion, salt, black pepper, paprika, and a little parmesan cheese) and it was great. I'm sure it was the mayo that kept in the juicy-ness, so I will definitely be making this again! Oh, and I used light miracle whip cause that's what we like in our house. Thank you! I also sprayed the top with pam like someone suggested to give the top a little more crispiness, and I'm not sure if that did a whole lot or not. Anyways, even my husband who doesn't like "plain chicken" without dipping it in bbq or honey mustard, ate it plain and loved it. Great recipe!

Black Bean Spread

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2011
The flavor was ok, I felt like it was missing something.. I couldn't figure out what... but I didn't love the texture either. I guess I'm just used to having black beans in "bean form". My brother in law really enjoyed it.

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
I thought this was excellent. I didn't have an onion (or I would've sauteed it first to make sure it wasn't crunchy) but I did add a little onion powder, and also mixed in some crushed up french fried onions with the crumbled crackers. Everyone thought it was delicious! Even my husband, who doesn't like too many vegetables, or "casserole" type dishes, liked it. I will definitely make this again, thank you! Oh, I also mixed the cheese in with the beans as suggested by others. Very good!

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2011
This was pretty good. It seemed a little salty in spots, I'm not sure if it was the cheese or the butter or the stuffing or what. Overall I really liked it. I added frozen broccoli all around the chicken before adding the stuffing on top and it turned out great. Thanks!

Pizza Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2011
I thought this was really good. I thought my husband who LOVES pizza and could eat it every day would just love it too, but he didn't really... He just thought it was weird when it looked like a regular "spaghetti sauce pasta dish" but tasted different. He wasn't digging it. My kids and I loved it though!

Quick and Easy Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
I thought it was really good, but just kind of like a glorified bbq sauce. I think if I were strapped on time, I'd just as well dump some bbq sauce on my chicken and cook it. But it was really good.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
The ratings are no joke, these were AMAZING! I didn't have vanilla pudding, but she said you could use any flavor, so I used the only one I had... butterscotch, so I thought it might make it a little funky, but it was still out of this world! Perfect texture, flavor, everything, the best cookie I've ever made! Oh and I even reduced it to 1/4 batch since I was just gonna eat them at home, and heaven knows I would've eaten all 72 cookies had I made the whole recipe! Even reducing the batch, it still came out perfect! It made about 24 cookies. Super delish! I have since made these cookies over and over again. I prefer vanilla pudding the best, and EVERYONE asks me to bring these to any event, they're just amazing! I always get comments, "wow, who made these cookies!" They're awesome. :) I always do a perfect 12 min, leave them on the pan a couple minutes to set, and let them finish cooling on some paper towels. They come out perfect and beautiful every time.
