Shrimp and Mushroom Linguini with Creamy Cheese Herb Sauce
I sauteed garlic, onions, and chopped spinach in butter. Added uncooked shrimp and cooked until slightly pink. I removed the shrimp and added mushrooms for a few minutes. Added 8oz of cream cheese, basil, and a few shakes of salt and pepper. Added some milk and pasta water until saucey. I shook some Mrs. Dash on the shrimp and then added it to the sauce. Heat through and served over hot pasta.

Baked Pasta with Sausage and Baby Portobello Mushroom White Sauce
As written, it is a 4 star recipe. You only need 1 tbsp of oil when sauteeing the sausage (there's plenty of grease when removing the sausage). I added chopped onions to the garlic and canned mushrooms. I ended up using the entire pint of heavy cream (wanted it really creamy) and thickened it up with corn starch. DON'T FORGET TO ADD THE PARMESAN CHEESE. Used about 6 oz of mozzarella cheese at the end.

Authentic Louisiana Red Beans and Rice
Used 3 cans of drained kidney beans (so no overnight soaking) and veg oil instead. Added more salt, pepper, and cajun seasoning. Also, didn't have andouille sausage so used smoked sausage. I simmered the vegetables and seasonings for 1 hour and added the beans when I added the sausage. Cooked for 1 more hour and smashed some of the beans on the side of pot to make the sauce thicker. However, make it as written before adding any extra ANYTHING. Plenty of reviews says it's too spicy or salty and plenty say there's not enough spicy or salt.
