Excellent pulled pork recipe. Delicious and easy to create. We are on our second batch to serve for tomorrow's game.

Berry Shooters

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2004
Fun recipe. If you have a store like Smart and Final in your area, pick up the little plastic cups used for cheese with pretzels. Easy to fill, just the right size for a "shot" and they line up easily on a cookie sheet to set in the refigerator. Learned this from a mom at Little League.

Casa Marina

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2004
What a great recipe. We are sitting here in sunny CA watching the Super Bowl. Made a bowl of this as suggested and it is disappearing fast. Cranberry juice is a must. Thanks for the recipe.

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2004
I read through all the reviews before making this and it turned out very well. The suggestions to leave out salt, add more ham and cook longer helped to make this a very tasty dish. It's definately worth making again.

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2003
I have been preparing ribs for over 15 years and this recipe has to be the easiest and the best. I made it even easier by using Reynolds foil bags instead of plain aluminum foil. No drips or leaks. I also took the advice from reviewers and used Sweet Baby Ray's sauce and used the broiler to finish off the ribs. I did stray somewhat from the original recipe and used a dry rub (from this site). This rub combined with the sauce made for a delicious and easy dinner my family and friends really enjoyed.

Salsa Biscuit Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2003
Had to look at this recipe because of the review questioning the nutritional value. I may be confused as to what a serving is (2 for this recipe?) but if you use Grands biscuis (5) and cut them half as one reviewer did (10), that makes 5 of these per serving. Although the sodium level is a bit high, it makes the calorie count a little over 100 cals per biscuit. Dividing these numbers by 10 makes them a bit easier to take. Other than the cheese I'm not sure where all the sodium comes from. Oh yes, they were very good and supplemented with a salad and fruit they made a tasty supper.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2003
This was a must try because I got through 40 reviews before finding one that wasn't raving about the results. This was the best turkey I have ever prepared. I've been trying new recipes for the 2003 Thanksgiving and this one will definately be on our menu. Nothing to add to make it better. This recipe proves that keeping it simple is the best way.

Creamy Cheddar Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2003
This is a great soup. I used low sodium broth (boxed)and left the soup unblended. It was great with the pieces of onion in it. I know it's not Fall yet, but it sounded so good I tried it in August. My family really liked it.

Dry Rub for Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2003
Had to see what this recipe was all about. It was mentioned numerous times in the reviews for Kristy's bbq ribs. Made these today with grilled prawns for Father's Day. Everyone loved the flavor and 25 people cannot be wrong. Thank you Denise and Kristy for a memorable bbq ;)

Garlic Prawns

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2003
I'm not sure why there aren't any other reviews for this recipe. It was very good. Maybe some people are turned off by the term prawn. Anyway, it is a good recipe that both my family and friends enjoyed on Father's Day. Thanks.

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2002
This is one of those basic recipes that you can personalize to fit the way you like your potatoes. My family likes a little more garlic although we eat garlic with just about everything. An easy dish for a beginning cook. I agree with others on cutting way down on the roasting time for the garlic; 20 minutes should do it. Thanks, Barrett.

Seven Layer Tortilla Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2002
My son requested "mexican" food for his 16th birthday party. We had a HUGE crowd of adults, teenagers and very young people and everyone loved this recipe. I read through all reviews and decided to make my pies (15) with chicken, beef, chorizo and bean. I agree, use refried beans, it's much easier. Served with corn cake, mexican rice, chips, mixed fruit and flan and nothing was left. Living in San Diego we have wonderful salsa and seasonings available year round and they complimented this food perfectly. I will make this again and again.

Ramen Coleslaw

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2002
Such a versatile recipe. I have made a version of this one for the past 15 years. I agree with a previous reviewer; use rice wine vinegar instead of white vinegar. If you are fortunate enough to have a Japanese market where you live, buy the Nissin Ramen (chicken flavor). It comes in a yellow and red package and is already seasoned. This ramen makes all the difference in the world.

Mexican Cream Cheese Rollups

Like others, I am not fond of green olives so left them out. I made this with green chiles and pimentos for color. My friends and co-workers really enjoy these. They go fast!!

St. Louis Toasted Ravioli

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2002
So glad I came across this recipe, although they are not unique to St. Louis. These were (and I'm sure still are) very popular at the steak houses we use to go to in Omaha. These are very good and remind of going out to eat as a child.

Baked Corn

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2001
I have made a variation of this recipe for years. Everyone loves it. Increase sour cream by half and add 1/2 cup cheddar cheese while baking. During last 10 minutes sprinkle additional cheese on top. There is never any left over.
