Grilled Onion Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2010
My family loved these potatoes. There were very easy to make. I did precook mine in the microwave for a few minutes to get the cooking process going a little quicker. Very good and easy recipe.

Turkey Stuffing Divan

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
I made this recipe but didn't have the herb stuffing so I used cornbread stuffing that I had on hand. My family really enjoyed this recipe and I thought it was even better the next day. I think I might try to make it with cooked rice next time instead of the stuffing. It's great with the stuffing, but I thought it seemed like a great combination with some healthy brown rice. Certainly nice comfort food for our family.

Mom's Meatloaf

Reviewed: May 13, 2013
I tried this recipe and tweaked it a little here and there based on what I had in the house. My family LOVED this meatloaf recipe and I have now thrown out the recipe I've made for 23 years and replaced it with this (with my tweaks). As a plus, my husband doesn't generally like when I make meatloaf because it gives him heartburn EVERY SINGLE TIME. When I made this meatloaf he was so excited that he never got heartburn -- not that night or the next day. Just an added plus. Both of my teenaged sons loved this as well. Instead of the corn syrup I used honey and I believe the sweetness of that made all the difference with how much we liked it.

Danish Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2010
I made this recipe for my family and everyone liked it, even my husband who doesn't really enjoy eating soup too often. I precooked the potatoes in the microwave a little just to get them going as I was running late on time. I will not do that again as they were too mushy. I'll just allow enough time to cook them in the pot. Very good comfort food for people who love soup.

Ham and Pea Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
My family enjoyed this simple and easy recipe. It was so quick to throw together and was a nice side dish to accompany any summer time meal instead of the regular side salad. I also made it another time and took it to a church picnic but it didn't seem to go over so well there. Some people just aren't open to trying new things I guess.

Orange Gelatin Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2010
I made this a few times and got different reactions. When my extended family ate it, they all liked it very much. When I took it to a church picnic and people didn't know that the lumpy parts were cottage cheese, they didn't like the texture. I think had people known what the lumpiness was they would have liked it but those who didn't know got an "attitude" about the lumpiness and didn't continue eating it. I liked it.
